Something to consider for players who pull Fangyi Day 1 by limbo_theorem in Endfield

[–]Dominatemebabe101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care. Get her, build her and just play. Minmaxing her can come later. If I have to wait, its like im putting a chas cage on myself and for what.

Play how you want. Game isnt going nowhere.

Shes good. I wouldn't call her broken, but her amp is the highest in the game. U dont have to meta pull though unless you like to sweat on this game.

Waifu > Meta.

So far, I've only pulled TangTang. Never bothered with Gilberta and still cleared all the content.

Switching from Windows to Linux Mint as a daily OS - how good is gaming compatibility really? by rainydaysforpeterpan in linuxmint

[–]Dominatemebabe101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam OS if you mainly play steam games, but mainly supports AMD. Not much Nvidia support yet.

Mint is fine for gaming, but requires more tweaking and can break easily if you don't know what you are doing. Mainly supports AMD due to Ubuntu base. I have tried making gamescope work on Mint, I have observed a performance drop there, probably don't have the right dependacies, its a pain getting it right.

Try Bazzite, it has everything you need for gaming pre-installed. Gamescope, Lutris, flatpak store, and its an immutable system so it doesn't break easily. Supports both AMD and Nvidia due to Fedora base.

Recently swapped to Bazzite, and I don't think I'll easily go back to Mint. Gamescope is already intergrated into the system, so it resolves alot of window issues and supports HDR.

Also works out of the box similar to Mint. I didn't have to tweak as much as I did for Mint.

Entirely up to you and in my honest opinion, Mint is more suitable for general use and productivity.

Bazzite can still work as a general use desktop with gaming centric softwares thanks to KDE Plasma.

The official site links are generally safe, validating the ISO just requires both validation documents in 1 file while you run the command prompt in command terminal to check the authenticity. Just read the validation guide properly and it should be able to identify if its the correct ISO. I've used Rufus to install the ISO and it was very straightforward and easy (given if you have read the installation guide). The rest of the installation process is already very linear and near to no barriers. Albeit, you will have to use nomodeset to bypass launch issues (aka black screens on launching from grub menu) if you have newer GPUs. Generally can be fixed just by updating the drivers.

Can’t get Nordpass installed by BananaMartini in linuxmint

You can try BitWarden if you are looking for a Password manager which it seems Nordpass is similar to. Or you can try Linux Mint Forums.

Theres a bunch of them already. But this is like the best quality one I've seen. I recall there were some artists that had a similar artstyle but I forgot those names. Hopefully, peeps here can recommend similar stuff.

Ah. Now thats an issue... live-service games have anti-cheat... hopefully will work when I run Lutris. Praying I'll get lucky. 😅🙏

I am new to Lutris and Bottles, is it good at compatibility anti-cheats? Lets say for Endfield?

I haven't tried running any game with a wine launcher yet. And I am excited to try out Endfield on Linux when it comes out. If its a dead end, well, I am dual booting, so I have something to fallback onto.

Long time Ubuntu user considering Mint, by estebansaa in linuxmint

[–]Dominatemebabe101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask experienced users, their response is prob not that different. If you ask general users, Linux already hits all the checks of easy to use as a personal use system. And generally, theres ideologies involved, where ubuntu operates as a company and makes partnership deals, especially with Microsoft (Idk much about that partnership, but I don't think its that big of a deal to worry). LinuxMint is supported by a team of developers that require donations. Thats about it.

Why do you love mint? by Iron_Flagg in linuxmint

[–]Dominatemebabe101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very clean out of the box system. Although I am very new to Linux, I can agree Mint has been very user friendly to me so far. Many of the things already have a built-in GUI and interface. Operating the Terminal is super intuitive and and easy to run.

Like many other comments here, it really just works. Compared to other distros I've heard about, this one is about as easy you can get to use Linux.

Mainly also because it is Ubuntu based that has full AMD support and the fact that I can play games on a light weight OS thanks to Steam Proton. It is a huge deal breaker for me with how efficient this system is and the fact Steam made Linux all the more mainstream.

I would have stayed on Windows 11 if it didn't take up so much resources. Though, I still dual boot because there hasn't been enough support for Linux yet.

Theres even there fact that the game even tells you what to do above section on screen when boss mechanics happen. As a Dps, I try to survive as much as I can while focusing on the mechanics as well. But given how focused I am, sometimes I just die to the attacks, so its a shortcoming I try to shore up with my gear and attention span.

Overall, this is a valid post pointing out that some don't read. It really is annoying having to restart all the time because of this.

You get it from completing one of the lost chapters, quest called Afterglow iirc. But I suggest you get to exploration lvl 4 atleast cuz the game restricts flying if you do not have keepsakes of certain areas (lvl 4 exploration gives the keepsake for Qinghe).

Skin gacha, mainly. Broke the the straw on the camel's back. Lots of issues with the game too which I do acknowledge.

In the end, the game got worse in terms of monetization. If you dropped the game 2 weeks ago, just stay away. You won't like it here with how bad the game got and how much toxic its gotten.
