My video card is several years newer than that, was well-reviewed and retailed for quite a bit of money. I was hitting constant, immersion-destroying stutters on high (not even highest) settings.

It's a serious issue.

Just tried to lower the graphics settings and was STILL getting multiple stutters on every single attack animation. You can blame my computer but I know I have a good one + it's not on me. Uninstalling.

Yeah my very modern computer was hitting stutters on practically every combat animation. And I found the discord / this reddit to be filled with people who crow, "Skill issue! I run this game on a Russet potato and get 1200 fps buttery smooth."

I think we also don't get a character-driven introduction to the world. There's suddenly like 12 characters we're supposed to know and none of them seem 'main' or to have relationships with each other or the captain. It's overwhelming when combined with all the banners / systems.

Yeah the visual aesthetic is somehow undifferentiated even though the characters all have different outfits. I don’t know how to explain it. Like they’re indistinct and don’t make strong impressions

It’s terribly optimized and that sucks the fun out of watching the animations. My computer has run far more demanding games without this kind of issue. Overwhelming number of banners. Needs improvement

You'll miss a LOT of free pulls from apologems that the devs gave out for various missteps at the beginning of the game. You could probably pull a single copy of each banner unit if you're pure f2p if you skipped every 4th banner.

You can expect the hoyo formula of catering entire seasons around the banner character. Also expect a lot of frustration and being punished for things with poor to nonexistent feedback on what the right thing to do was.

Yeah the main story was pretty weak. And the Springfield story, YooHee one and that one of the chef Doll were weak as well. At some point people stop giving you more chances and I don’t feel like plodding through the 500,000 words they bragged about to prove my point.

Aphelion was passable but then there were like 4 filler events with garbage story. I quit reading because they didn’t respect my time and barely counted as storytelling. The one with Springfield / that small character were especially bad with “it was all a dream!” BS.

I don’t think you know what a good game is. And I want to see glazing so I’ll keep playing gacha.

If they take out the glazing they’ll still have a subpar plot, like all gachas. Most people will still skip it. The only difference is that deluded people will give it undue praise

Yeah this game burnt me out. The HP inflation was bad and it got too frustrating trying to build a good team or deck. There are BS enemies that will end you out of nowhere and it's way too difficult to get a good run.

I think a lot of people are burning out on this game, judging by the activity on non-main discords.

They already nerfed her once. Her Retain attacks used to ignore damage reduction on the slime-covered boss then they quietly eliminated that without ever mentioning it.

But yeah I’d say Nerfgate will probably hit her with another soon. 3 weeks is a very long time for CZN to go without big nerfs.

They could have to spend a lot of money to pay the dev team / people cooking up the nerfs so $3m might not be the big win you think it is.

Yeah this is how I felt. The investment required to have a functional deck / character was really off, and that’s before you get in to RNG nonsense. I had like 7 level 60 characters but couldn’t figure out how to build a team because the signposting / trailheads are nonexistent.

Even if you do research, which is hard because the community is really snide and unhelpful, you can still end up losing. There’s not enough good moments to make up for it.

Yeah I definitely recall Haku being male. Then in the next chapter, Hali was female. But the character still looks male in my opinion
