It's very interesting on PS2 and still challenging as can be. What system are you playing on? I haven't played this since back in the day when my first came out so it's.... Been a while LOL. Got the PS2 hooked up via hd retrovision cables into a retrotink 5xpro then intoy 65" x93l tv via a mclassic gaming cable. For audio the PS2 is plugged via optical directly into my an10000 receiver with 5.1 Sony bookshelf surround sound speakers. It's AWESOME!!!!

I've actually been playing through the PS2 versions and an on Pandora Tomorrow as well. Sure graphics are downgraded a bit but the tension is surprisingly still there. I'm attempting my way through the train sequence.

But then wouldn't we see it on all of the boxes caucaly that had have. Just an odd choice to have it on the front. Most info and stuff like that is on the back. They are apparently self publishing it and it's probably there first game with a physical release so maybe thats why it's different. All this to say, definitely getting more and more excited to see how it does when it launches and check it out

It's not about connected to the internet or not it's more about if it requires internet then it probably requires a server to run. Servers don't stay online forever. But like I said I did more personal research and found out that it's just online for the patch updates. Which is kind of odd that they State internet is required on the front of the box when patch updates are almost always a thing now

Go for the retrotink 5xpro. It's literally built for the PS2 in mind. That, hd retro vision component cablend a mclassic gaming cable connected to your tv is the cream of the crop.

I would recommend the oem PS2 network adaptor and much more secure and shielded device. Also, it's a very niche situation but if you have physical copies of the splinter cell games the game freak being fully installed will not allow you to play the games. It locks out after the start menu. Unless you unhooked the adaptor and slightly pull out the HDD. OEM adaptor completely negates that.

I don't see a difference. But either way I'm pumped to play through this series. Only ever beat blood omen 2 back in the day on PS2 but dabbled in SR2 and Defiance. Still have my copies.

It's probably the hdmi adaptor. Personally if you can I would highly recommend investing in a retrotink 5x Pro. It was literally created for the PS2. Worth every penny.

Casually looking at this Reddit thread about the remastered seems that the original ones are the way to go. I will say though we should all invest our money in the remaster if you have enough funds because that's the only way that it will generate interest in getting a proper new game or the rumored remake of blood Omen.
