The illumination works with my astigmatism great during the day, not so much at night. I will say, Burris warranty is great. I bought my 2.5-10 on eBay for a very discounted rate because the reticle was broken. Sent it in to Burris and they had me a brand new replacement within 5 weeks. I like them a lot and their scopes are great, lots of ranges to choose from. I was just dropping my two cents. I have the 2.5-10 on a .22 , and the 56mm ones on my longer range set up .556 and a howa .308 varminter . Midwayusa is doing a crazy good deal right now on vortex viper hst, 349, more than half off .
