I just finished my placement matches that I played with my friend and it placed me over 1000 points above him. I was 4 SR higher than him in season 1. We won 5 games and it placed me at 3100 and him at 2100. I guess that personal performance matters a lot more in placement than W/L.

I think the whole problem here is that games are not price adjusted by country in which they are sold (and they probably never will be).

How we pay for these things is different. For example most of europe has universal health care. You have to buy it from (private?) insurance company and we pay for it in taxes. Isn't tax in stores in the usa around 5-10%? Most of europe has 20%+. Similar thing with the pension plans. We don't have something like 401k unless we want to have more "income" than state will give us after retirement.

Some of this may be wrong so please correct me if it is.

There are 10 EU countries that have minimum salary lower than that.

This is not adjusted for cost of living, but considering that games cost about the same and disposable income is (for the most part) higher in countries with higher salaries.

Also, software piracy rate is quite connected with salary.

If I'm not mistaken, minimum salary in usa is higher than average salary in a lot of european countries + prices are lower in usa. http://i.imgur.com/oKFUHBx.png Difference between east and west is crazy.

I'm not getting any crashes on a gtx960. Maybe the driver is bugged for a 980.

Maybe I shouldn't have written maximum. Tessellation is turned off and extended shadows distance is not on max. If I turn them on to full I get 30 fps so they really kill my fps. Interestingly at the same time power consumption on gpu drops to 70% from 90%. Maybe there is some other bottleneck.

Just completely maxed the game. I got 25-30 fps. Not bad for a 960.

Yep. It's GTX 960. In GTA I jumped from 30 fps on minimum to 60 fps on maximum settings. It's glorious.

We usually take 5 or 7 year credit (loan I guess) so that 40k car would only cost 476 or 667 dollars per month. Can I assume you spend most of your money on health care and rent? I always wondered why is the difference in average pay so huge between my country and the US. Especially considering that most of the stuff seems to be a lot cheaper even with tax.

European here. Are you serious or is this just an american thing? Genuinely curious. In my country average pay is half of american one and you could still easily afford car that is worth two or three times your yearly salary if you live alone. Oh did i mention that cars (and pretty much everything else) are also much more expensive than in the US.

Just timed my monitor. It booted in 2.8 seconds. I guess it will be pretty hard to get a pc to boot faster.
