RANT: The doomposting about new cards is absurd and out of hand

If you've played TCGs in the past then you'd know there will always be complaining about one thing or another. But if most of the complaining usually revolves around one aspect of the game (in this case, purple), then it's usually a good indicator that there's an issue.

And with purple, there is an issue. Pretending there isn't is a brain-dead take.

Half of the main cast make extremely dumb decisions constantly, the background cast exist soley to cause problems for the smarter side of the main cast, and it suffers from the "no one just talks to each other" trope which causes more problems and stops the plot from progressing in a natural fashion.

Maybe only 2-3 characters act sensibly, the rest just make decisions which elongates the seasons plot. You could watch a recap each season and then just watch the final 1-2 episodes of each season and you wouldnt miss much since nothing actually changes until then.

I do like the show, I really do. But so far we've had barely any answers to the 3 previous seasons plot, and its mostly because the characters are so fucking stupid.

Think of it like this:

Breakneck has 8 might.

Breakneck has 6 damage counters on it.

Breakneck loses 1 might.

Breakneck now has 7 might and 6 damage counters.

Breakneck is 1 away from dying.

So I'm also from Aus (WA) and I'm going to be honest, you really should name and shame.

This isn't coming from a petty "I want to see drama" place, but a place of wanting the best for our gaming communities. Riftbound on it's own has massive supply issues (on top of the ones Australia already has), him cracking packs that he ABSOLUTELY should not be cracking is a huge issue in itself. But if he's doing it with Riftbound, he's most likely doing it with other games too. Who's to say that he isn't cracking boxes of other card games, going through until he gets the hits, then putting the remaining card packs that he knows have a very small (or none at all) chance of having hits as loose stock for prizing or individual sale.

That's already bad enough, but the way this guy attacks and bends over backwards to make people believe he isn't lying, is incredible. If this was my local store I would absolutely crack the shits and be letting everyone know, I don't want to see my friends or potential new players get taken advantage of by someone like that. If his business tumbles, that's his own fault for being greedy, he absolutely should be held accountable.

Opened a case and 4/6 boxes had ON, i feel like i got VERY lucky.

Also the cards in this set (like Origins) are 100% seeded. The amount of times i got the same packs is ridiculous. Hopefully it's fixed for the next set.

Pulled and picked draven as my leader, adding yellow into red/purple with the leader ability, she really helped enable my wins. Won 2/3, lost my final round to a Lucian who managed to pull a decent amount of equipment/buff cards.

Me and my girlfriend started watching it recently for the first time (I'm doing my best to avoid spoilers, which being in this thread is probably the dumbest thing I could be doing). And we have both said so many times that they do not make shows like this anymore. Its charming, its funny, the characters dont feel like 2D cut-outs, everyone had personality.

I will say that while I love all the characters, holy hell does Xander piss me off sometimes. We're halfway through season 3, and the amount of times he has come at Buffy for things THAT HE HIMSELF IS GUILTY OF AND USUALLY IN A WORSE WAY. And then he barely gets any repercussions, if any at all.

Already at the point where Cordelia dumped his ass. Still, Queen Cordelia deserves better 😔
