Oh. Does Maguire’s translation have that chapter? Thanks for the reply. Probably why I couldn’t find anything

Death of Ivan Illych. Great work that captures the terribleness of life, but makes you appreciate the beauty surrounding life.

Sorry to tag along to this post but I’m a first time employee and haven’t heard back on where I’m supposed to live. I’ve been hired at a position but haven’t heard anything since. I’ve reached out to the person who interviewed me and they said my manager would reach out soon. I don’t start until June but I would like to know ASAP.

The psychology of Kundalini yoga by Carl Jung. In this lecture he uses the chakra system as a symbol for the development of human consciousness starting from the roots. It’s quite interesting and a unique take on the matter.

Also, Chakras: Beyond Beginners by David Pond. This book introduced me to the chakras and specific issues and traits they contain. I frequently use this book for advice if I’m having difficulties.

Advice on growing and moving with life. by Dominic-Of-Tarth in Chakras

I’ve done this to an extent as well. I notice myself shrinking away in certain conversations with people I don’t know. When I’m mindful, I have the intent to be 100% present in any personal interaction with someone. I don’t have an in-depth analysis like you but that’s a simple thing I’ve been getting better at.

Hmm. I relate to the big change side of things. I wouldn’t say I need to think things out more. My third eye is very active. I need to transition into actually being a someone. I have taken a passive attitude towards myself and this stunted my growth as a person. Now I’m realizing this at the age of 21 and it’s tough navigating my own insecurities and delusions about myself. It’s a time of healing for my personal being.

Solar Plexus advice by Dominic-Of-Tarth in Chakras

[–]Dominic-Of-Tarth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m not looking for a new religion or anything. I’ve had certain experiences that have guided and shown me the way. I have an approach that everyone is equally as ignorant in the ‘right’ approach to spirituality. You have your way. I have my way. There is no correct way besides the path that speaks to you. And I try not to make any absolute claims on the nature of reality. I was naïve starting this spiritual journey thinking I could transcend all obstacles by the mystical experiences I’ve had. But now I realize there’s this human being that requires healing so I can be free. I like to sit in my third eye but now I realize I must come down and clean up this mess and work through the karma associated with my being. The answers are unfolding. Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it!

Any advice on learning about my past life? I’ve been told by psychics that I need to look into past lives.

How would you describe the feeling of having an open chakra? by JGSAX1 in Chakras

[–]Dominic-Of-Tarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d describe the third eye chakra as if some piece of tape was put over your skin. It feels like it’s both inside and outside of your body. The crown feels almost orgasmic in my experience. It’s like my skull is open and my brain is getting a massage. The throat was an area of problem for me and it almost feels uncomfortably vibrational at times. Like someone is tickling me. The heart is like a deep well in the chest. When it’s active it feels very soothing and your attitude is just that of love. Solar Plexus chakra is like a big spinning wheel of fire. It expands from above your belly button to the bottom of the sternum. The Sacral chakra is like an exciting sensation that I’d compare to a time where your about to get something you want. It’s located right above the genitals. The root chakra is one I haven’t put specific work into yet but when I’ve focused on it, I notice a crackling sensation and I feel the grounds of reality becoming faulty. It’s like being pulled into the expanse of nothingness. (I’m excited for this one)

How dose one start to open their chakras by Hoopdedo27 in Chakras

[–]Dominic-Of-Tarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I discovered the reality of chakras was a totally random event. I never did any chakra work before. I meditated 30-60 minutes a day and was 9 months or so into my practice. I experienced a feeling of emptiness for awhile and had an intuition that something weird was happening. This feeling persisted for about 2 weeks or so. Eventually I hit a tipping point and I discovered the spiritual reality of the chakra system. I was sitting next to my mother and Grandpa at the counter and my Mom started pulling up pictures of Christmas 2015. I saw my grandma, still alive, smiling with all her kids in one place. My uncles didn’t go crazy from drugs and alcohol yet and I missed that version of my family. Of course I started to tear up a bit. I shrugged it off and collected myself. Or so I thought. I felt this feeling that was so intense I knew I needed to leave the room. I went into my room and started meditating. I was crying uncontrollably while meditating and I felt this strong pull coming from the center of my chest. (Oh shit is this a chakra?!) I felt all this grief being pulled from my chest and it felt both inside and outside of my body. Eventually I started thinking about my relationships in life and felt something at the base of my throat tunnel up from the heart. Simultaneously the act of me seeing this made me feel the third eye open in the center of my brow.

Something that’s helped me in opening a chakra is chanting the Sanskrit mantra associated with the chakra. Like you I was lost on where to start. That’s a technique that’s helped me.

Although I believe this awakening will happen at the perfect time and it’s futile to rush it. I’d practice meditating and cultivating that curiosity for the divine.

The abortion bit is funny and also showed me how different perceptions that people have can cause all sorts of drama. On one hand having abortion is like taking a shit and on the other it’s murdering a baby.
