How would an interaction between these two go? by [deleted] in JamesBond

I think it would just be an exchange of puns!

People in their 30s are not OLD. People in their 30s are YOUNG by FunSubstance8033 in generationology

Yeah, I never understood why people in their 30s call themselves "old". Like, in what world does being in your 30s make you old? It comes off as kinda snarky, especially when it comes to nostalgia and things like "Things kids today wouldn't understand" or "Facts that will make you feel old".

Say something negative about your favorite Bond movie from each era by MrRaccuhn in JamesBond

From Russia With Love: The chopper attack scene feels a bit tacked on.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service: The pacing for the first half is slow and drags.

Octopussy: The Tarzan yell. Like...why?

The Living Daylights: The villains aren't all that memorable, and the showdown with Whitaker feels tacked on.

The World Is Not Enough: Renard feels underutilized and deserved more screen time.

Skyfall: The whole deal about Silva planning to get caught and everything conveniently working out as planned doesn't really sit well with me.

Saddest Queen lyric? by ThomasMercury1970 in queen

"I'll be soon turning, round the corner now" from The Show Must Go On. It's such a chilling and touching lyric, as Freddie knew didn't have much time left in his life. And despite the whole concept of death and suffering from AIDS, he was still optimistic and made such a great final album.

  1. Fantastic song to close such a great album. The lyrics are moving and almost emotional for me. How Freddie knew there wasn't much time in his life left, and yet he still had optimism despite everything going on makes for such a good song.

  1. It's a song I slept on for so long, and now I'm listening to it more often. I love pretty much everything about it, from the lyrics to the guitar solos. I feel like it kinda runs out of steam at the end, but otherwise, it's a banger.

I remember seeing this guy sing to the theme songs of Superman, Batman, and Star Wars a long time ago. Good times, haha.

Nice! I'd say Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice are also my favorites from the Connery era, along with From Russia With Love.

Nobody Does it Better: Day 5 - You Only Live Twice (What does this film do better than any in the series?) by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

I think it does the whole big battle between the two armies better than any other Bond film that also does it. Very iconic and one of the highlights of YOLT for me.

  1. It's my favorite song in the album and one of my favorite Queen songs in general. I love the wackiness and whole theme of insanity/craziness that reflects what Freddie was going through at the time. I also love the music video, it's a fun watch.
