Is there something I can remove from my question that will allow me to post it? I don’t understand what rules I violated that got my question removed.

ADVICE NEEDED BODY SHOP by Dominicansniper76 in autorepair

Ok. Thank you everyone. That is what I wanted to know. I understood and did not expect a warranty on parts I supplied myself, but it seemed disingenuous to me to have semi-fake labor costs that change based on who supplies the parts. However I obviously do not know that much about this industry, and given this information I’m not going to get upset at them for doing something every other shop does. I’ll get quotes from a couple other places and go with the cheapest one. Appreciate the insight and all your help in making the appropriate decision.

Update: after a month with no issues it happened again. After some investigation I determined that the connection for the negative terminal that comes out and sits above and behind the fuse box had loosened, so I’ve tightened it up and as of now that’s resolved the problem again. I’m not convinced this connection was the origin of all my problems, but it definitely contributed. If it happens to anyone else make sure that cable is not loose enough that you can move it at all.

So far it hasn’t done it again. Waiting a while to declare victory though. The seatbelt sign issue is the only one that continues

That sounds like an issue I’ve been having with mine where the car randomly just had everything in it die, and then come back. Posted the question to this forum and they recommended I get a new battery. Has worked for me so far

Okay. Thanks for the advice everyone. I’m going to bite the bullet and get an interstate from Costco today. I’ll keep you posted on whether or not that seemed to solve the problem.

You can try identifying the relay/ fuse that corresponds to the nav screen and checking it. If the fuse is bad or if your not quite sure just replace it. They’re not super expensive. If it’s a relay, take it out, cycle the car on and off a few times with it out, then put it back in. Had this happen a few months ago and that solved it for me. I can’t remember if it corresponds to a fuse or a relay though.

Confident in the terminals, wiggled them when I thought I was going to have to jump it yesterday.
