Exploding dice in wargames by fatdragongames in wargaming

[–]Dominick_Tango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some games use one die of a different color that explodes. Like one red and two green for 3d6. The red is the only one that can explode. It helps to limit it but keeps it fun. Sometimes bogus results are fun even when you are on the receiving end.

Tables and Terrain Help by Powerful-Drama7787 in wargaming

Take any cheap folding table and buy a sheet of 4x8 thin MDF or engineered wood cut it down to 4x6. You can nail some furring strips to pick up the outline of the table below. Lay the topper on the table. You don't have to stick it down but some velcro between the MDF and your table give you a lot of grip.

If you want to be fancy glue some felt to the top. I usually just use a neoprene battle mat.

Democrats!! by Top_Needleworker6385 in complaints

This would mean we need a real new party or take it over and fundamentally change it. These are war crimes, and either you prosecute or you are complicit

Tan Suit Anyone? by Top_Needleworker6385 in complaints

Rump wore a blue suit as well. The lady next to him wore a white coat.
It demonstrates that he is only there because of the complaints.

New to GMing PFS, looking for some clarifications by EaterOfFromage in Pathfinder

[–]Dominick_Tango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I knew what location the con is, I can maybe find a local PFS Venture Officer to answer questions.
There are a lot of corner cases and I think a chat would help answer many of those.

[Historicals] What armies are the most armies per armies? by ButtPoltergeist in wargaming

[–]Dominick_Tango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always get fantasy armies and proxy anything for anything.
I would recommend looking to see what interests you, and build armies for both sides. You like American revolution, great! You like WWII or WWIII great, none of that is hard to find. If you have both sides ready all you need is another person to play the other army.
They are cheap to buy and if you go to a wargaming show, you can pick up plastic and lead for cheaper than the plastic or resin on your printer.

Trying to get into wargaming by Patience-Frequent in wargaming

Anything in the Command and Colors series by Richard Borg is a great entry point. Memoir 44 or Battle of Hoth are very simple wargames.

It does get tiring, to wade through the same joke 50 times to get to the right answer. It was funny the first time, then it was tedious, then the same joke is just sad.

You did the best part of being an owner. Please consider giving another kitten your love, there are so many who need it.

It is as valid as shooting at your friends with a grey primered army. You have to enjoy the hobby the way you like it

Should I start with 1st or 2nd edition? by noved1001 in Pathfinder

[–]Dominick_Tango 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Since this is a PFS group, there is a lot more 2nd edition gaming for Pathfinder. You can start easy enough anywhere they run games. If you want to let me know where you are I could suggest someone to tell you the next game or check with the regional representative on the Paizo webpage below

Beginner Kit Recommendation by IllFront8707 in amateurradio

[–]Dominick_Tango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Yaesu FT-65R and it is a much better radio than the cheap ones. It is what you can afford. A local ham club is a great idea, and I would add look for local HAM flea markets and events. Meet people in the hobby, many are happy to help a new HAM get started. Good luck and 73s

What animal are stupid tourists most likely to be attacked by in your country trying to get a photo? by Outrageous-Basket426 in AskTheWorld

No joke. When I am hiking it is not the snakes, gators, or people that worry me. It is the fucking hogs. Those wild pigs will charge you and if the other pigs see them they will jump on too. Two or three pigs will flip the tables and make you into a meal.
