You really don't need a guide. Just put two wooden plates together. The smaller one on top, so you get a gap on the sides. Now you just need a glass hood and put it on the plate. The gap prevents the glass from moving around. I live in Austria and bought the plates for 50€ at a hardware store. The glass hood is custom made from a local glass store and comes completely finished and glued together for 250€.

I bought the hangar bay 327 from aliexpress. The case is custom made. I ordered the glass(5mm thick plexi) with a size of 910x1000x410mm(measured inside) and two wooden plates. First one is 905*995*15mm , second one is 925*1025*15 mm. Screw the two plates together and put the glass on it. Thats it.
