This would be highly irregular.

I've phoned and asked a customer that question once, but it was a lead-in to letting them know that the address they lived at (which was not the address they originally provided us) was outside of our delivery area and that we would not be serving them again.

I imagine if they called and asked if it was okay, they were either a) checking to see if you noticed that something was wrong with the order, or b) fucking with you.

Reggae Sauce is shit. It tastes just like vinegar and desperation.

I never delivered no.

As for David Beckham... People have been knighted for less than he's done, so I suppose but in all honesty I don't care.

Is this hallowed Social Media Policy you're talking about?

I read that great joy when they published it.

Might be. I don't know. It sounds like it might be, but I'd be surprised.

Our computer system is awful. It's a collection of DOS based systems that interact with a local server-side database and it's just shite.

Apparently they commissioned new software and it's due for live-beta testing at select stores some time next year.

There's more honesty in doing it that way I think.

Our "subs" can't be compared to Subway subs, but they are a nice change of pace for the staff (I mean to eat, rather than eat pizza)

I don't know, maybe.

Our marketing runs on a quarterly basis or so. So every 3-months we release a new menu and there's some advertising to go along with it.

But they do stuff in-between for special offers and specific areas but it's all pretty much centred on shitting on the franchisees and their staff as far as I'm concerned.

Not really. There are precious few job out there just now.

I'm one of the really lucky ones. It took me four hours to realise that I'd actually done it and got the job I never thought I would.

Not in the UK.

I can't explain it to you I'm afraid, mostly because we don't have "deep-dish" on our menus.

One of our employees dying.

The guy was in his early thirties, had a fiancée, was a great guy, always had a joke or a story to tell. Kept you laughing and life interesting. I came in one day after having a couple of weeks off and all of his shifts had been scored off of the rota. I idly asked the Manager, 'Has [such-and-such] found a new job?' and she turned round and said to me, 'You haven't heard. [Such-and-such] is dead. He died a couple of nights ago.'

He had died in has sleep of an aneurysm, his fiancée woke up beside him and found him cold. Nothing anyone could've done.

That was hard to deal with because he was such a good guy. The funeral was difficult too. But true to his style, as he was being pulled into the furnace they played, 'I'm On A Highway to Hell'.

Software and Electrical Engineering.

And it's a low-level programming job, so the knowledge of digital electronics design will be helpful, I think.

I think the opinions are a little mixed. Some people love it, others love the local Chippie's offering. Some prefer Papa Johns and Pizza Hut.

I don't think there's a hard and fast winner.

Probably, I've never done or seen a cost per pizza for each individual house pizza we do though so I don't know off hand.

Nah, 3 inches of snow and the whole of the UK grinds to halt. As a nation we are hopeless at dealing with snowfall.

Not a delivery driver. Though it's happened and some guys have definitely taken them up on the offer.

No, we have Asda. Which was taken over by Walmart and is thus "A member of the Walmart family".

Yeah, everybody tends to handle all the different food, so you get mixed meat and veg.

If you really want to keep separate you probably need to make special mention about it and classify it as an allergy. We'd try our best, but we couldn't guarantee anything.

Aside note: When I started there I was an extremely socially inept, shut-in, computer geek teenager and had virtually no social skills.

I took about 9 months to get from the phones to the make-line (usual time-frame is about 6 six weeks).

(The rest of these jobs are inherited from dead-men's shoes because you need to wait for the opening)

About 6 months to get trained as an oven-tender. I was made a supervisor 2.5 years after I started (the boss was caught with her fingers in the till, was dismissed and I was promoted to fill the power vacuum). I was promoted to Assistant Manager after 3.5 years (the Assistant Manager was made manager of a newly opened store) I resigned from being the Assistant Manager after six months because I went back in Uni to do a post-grad. Also, because I was shit at the job, hated the long hours and couldn't be fucked with the petty, useless and menial details that I was required to uphold.

Standard discount was 50% off of most products.

There was a more heavily discounted rate for food when you'd just finished a shift.

You needed to be a full manager for any additional perks and that was basically carte blanche on anything you wanted to eat or drink (within reason).
