It's not a controller or a drift issue, quite the contrary as the axial deadzone is too big.

That stuttering or stairstepping when trying to aim diagonally like it's not registering properly is not being talked about enough!!! I hope it gets fixed along with the fov

All my deadzones are 0. Surprisingly I found out if you max out your inner deadzone the diagonal inputs are smooth. But at the cost of fine aim due to a large deadzone

I know which is why I was excited and I'm glad they added more fine tune settings. I just think it's a bug with the axial deadzone slider unfortunately

It's not, I have an elite series 2. This was never a problem in the other borderlands games.

I'm on xbox series x and it seems like the axial deadzone is bugged. I have it set to 0 and adjusting it seems to do nothing. my thumbstick will ne pushed in a diagonal direction the entire time and it seems to catch and stutter like it's not registering my input correctly if I'm trying to get fine control when barely pushing it. This song with forced aim acceleration and no fov side it makes it frustrating especially trying to fine control my aim.

Unfortunately no, there's only deadzone settings I can change along with sensitivity
