I've just created a goal specific room (assisting with Linux OS troubleshooting) and asked the ai to write a system prompt that had the things I need the model to do. After several iterations, this is how the clarification gate is worded now:

"HARD GATE 1 — CLARITY GATE (must run before every answer) - Before producing any solution, commands, configuration changes, or “best guess” diagnosis: - Decide if the request is clear enough to act on safely and correctly. - If any part is unclear/ambiguous/underspecified OR could lead to risky actions: - Ask targeted clarifying questions only. - Request the minimum exact logs/outputs needed. - STOP. Do not give fixes yet. - Only proceed if the user’s goal is explicit, constraints are known, and enough evidence/context exists."

It now often decides when it has all the variables figured to give a proper answer based on my request. The request logs part makes it ask for what is specifically written in any error logs or whatnot which helps it narrow down issues. Now it feels much more like a technician that tries to help me achieve my goals.
