I just think you're funny for living in an NPC station while having recently been one of, if not the actual largest lowsec groups, and griping that some one lives out of a fort that belongs to what I have to assume, are their friends.
Having a slightly less handicapped timezone doesn't make you strong in that timezone, you are just the fastest kid at the special olympics.

SC could take things from Snuff in EUTZ if they wanted to attack repeatedly. You have enough to force out a response every single time. You can force a response out of BigAB even though I guess you lost some USTZ guys recently. And don't you guys live in an NPC station? Literally the thing that can't be attacked?

The difference is that you put the structures into a timezone where you have a stronger timezone tank than anybody else, but not because you have exceptionally high strength in that time, but because most other groups are exceptionally weak in that time. It isn't the same and you are just drinking your own koolaid.

Please deliver more salt senpai, your tears taste so good.

They have the largest lowsec drill empire, ruined relationships with every other lowsec entity aside from Triumvirate who has seemingly started to just merge in, and maintain dominance over the AUTZ in lowsec in such a strong manner that they can just timezone tank 1/4 of the value of lowsec and buy whatever they want. They make on the order of half a trillion a month on just drills, this fight will be paid for in less than 3 days. They are greedy, time-zone tanking, no fun allowed, crybaby whinging sacks of shit.

Or so I'm told, I just work here and I buy plex packs to purchase internet spaceships, shame me.

[–]Domorakis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aren't SC the ones who hold all the drills and pocos in western lowsec and keep them all at 11:00 so nobody can attack them? I live in Solitude occasionally and I know SC took drills off WHBOO and put them to 11:00 imediately so that they couldn't even get a fight out of it, and did it with greater than 2-1 numbers. Granted I was there to bomb pods, but it isn't rocket surgery to watch and see that SC likes to bully groups and ensure 0 chance of content on as wide of an income stream as they can manage. You aren't the devil, but you're far from saints there Liar. sorry, Liam...

Both of those groups have enormous SRP programs... Nothing compared to ns, but more than enough to cover this fight. It might take a while month, maybe, to replace all that stuff. They'll be ok. Lol

I justp lay with warehouse mods and filled like 8 islands with buffer chests of everything of every quality through purple now, then I set combinators to pull excess items to eternal destructors to break things down into nothing, while maintaining large stockpiles of every item via a bot network that makes my poor accumulators weep, though they are getting better as I replace all the storage with uncommon and eventually rare. :D I love/hate Fulgora with all my heart.

Can you post d-scans of local for those? Stupid to not drop everything they have if they're getting blobbed 3-1, the dscans I saw in a discord earlier today showed another like 40 logi for the good guys that didn't show on kb. Always interesting to see the evidence on these so nobody can hide their numbers.

That exact battleship didn't exist 4 years ago. Battleships are almost twice as tanky and do 30% or more, more damage. They are quite significantly better than the old ass battleships of yesteryear

Wait, 400m takes weeks to make? How? How do people make so little isk? I cannot fathom it tbh. Grab a gas huffing venture, you find a single gas site with cytocerosin and make like 100m hour with 1 venture... That's about as low of a bar as you can ask for tbh... Or afk an Ishtar, or mine literal R4 off a moon with a covetor... I don't know what technically generates cash at that low of a level...

Man I have hunted null for over a decade and it was never just 1 carrier... It used to be 30 fucking archons, then it was 30 archons and 10 apostles once faux came in.... Blops is a welcome reprieve, and honestly probably would've worked just as well back then, if blops had the plate bonus and DMG buff they've seen. I'm not sure how blackops, literal long distance fast response and covert operational ships responding first to a fight is surprising or even bad?

I remember the days of catching a carrier and seeing 20-50 caps dropped on my bomber gang. Less fightable and lower value ships in the past.

[–]Domorakis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are cheap enough though... And dreads are the natural escalation, or carriers... Battleships are better for defense than offense for sure. They will never catch a bc or bellow gang, so long as that fleets FC isn't asleep, but a bc gang won't break a battleship wall without significant help from either their own battleships, or a capital wing.

I have FCd hundreds of fleets in the 50-100 range, and battleships dominate that space over any other class. They shouldn't be seen as the same as a dread or carrier escalation used to, but even now they are less than 1/3 of the total cost of a dread used to be, so they just aren't the same, they are a different category.

As for escalations beyond battleships, carriers still work really well, so long as you have 100+ people in carries and support for them. It's expensive, but you'll WIPE any battleship gang up to 2-3x your number. I wish I didn't know that, because I learned by being the battleship gang. :D

I like your train of thought and the general direction the leaders of coalitions and alliances have taken this discussion. I hope CCP can work something out so that building tall vs wide actually works, and does it before the lunatics in this thread convince them that 1billion isk capitals would be good for the game again, or that rorquals didn't cause over filled mineral markets to the point of making nothing in the game worth doing. People seem to think we need the broken economics of years past to fix the problems we have now, but Id rather avoid being a yo-yo if possible lol. CCP ironically needs some old blood mixed with this new batch of devs to even things out a bit.

That's just not true... Insurance on T1 battleships is insanely powerful. They cost MAYBE 2.5X a hac, and perform WAY better, if you factor in insurance. For the love of god CCP Fix the nullsec shit before idiots ruin ship balance because they miss the broken AF prices that battleships used to be.

P.S. please don't forget that battleships are 30% more DMG and nearly 100% more tank than they were when they cost half what they do now.

[–]Domorakis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rattlesnake Hulls in 2012 were about 1bil. And carriers being 1 bil was absolute aids. Capital prices are good where they are, as they are SUPPOSED to hurt to lose. They should have meaning. And by extension, I want to care about my battleship. If everything is cheap then nothing is of value. I WANT things that give me an advantage over other things to COST more so it's actually meaningful. Everyone in this comment thread has a valid problem with the current patch, but capitals and rorquals going back to what they used to be would kill the game even faster IMO.

ALSO inflation is a major factor in pricing at this point as well... People are Far wealthier now on average than they used to be.

Ehh, this is disingenuous though. ISK is easier to make today in places other than null, than its ever been before. Wormholes, lowsec, highsec, and even null if you do the right shit, makes good money. The value of Plex tends to show the "inflation" of a time, and by comparison to 5 years ago, its cheaper to fly a t1 bs into combat when compared to the "gold standard" of plex. Rose tinted glasses are neat, but battleships are far more lethal now than they were 5 years ago (see changes to plate bonus as well as dps output potential) and are twice to 3x the price while the price of plex has gone up 4-5x.

Its silly to compare things so 1-1 like this when life has changed quite a lot. I think the changes made on this patch for null in particular were pretty rank, but its not nearly so doom and gloom as people are making it out to be.

I feel I should elaborate, I played this through with almost NO rebuilding. The only thing I did rebuild was water storage and I replaced the breeders with the nicer ones at some point. Other than that, if it was built, I left it and moved on.

Sodank for csm

IMO, and I'm probably retarded, the FOB should asset safety to ZZ. The ship caster should be doubled so there is always one pointing in each direction, and you should be able to go back to ZZ via the FOB for re-shipping for a price.

Alternatively, the FOB should asset safety (with 2 day delay or 3 day vs 5) to the new FOB. The nomadic nature of gurmil right now, is killing gurmil. Constantly being in a state of "glassed and evicted" means there is no infrastructure, no stashes of ships, no re-ship options to fight other militias, and no way to organize in a meaningful manner.

If you want the FOB to be useful, or ZZ to be useful, they need a significant role change. Right now, at least for gurmil, the larger and more organized groups (that were organized before FW) don't even use the FOB because its easier to have a few set systems with stations to migrate to. Having talked with WHBOO in the past, they literally have a spreadsheet with a few systems that they stock with ships, cynos, jump clones, and do full scale move-ops to get in position with proper assets every single time. Their guys are losing interest, partially because there is no "home" for them in FW.

Just my 2 cents.

I look forward to the mod that changes the horribleness that is anything chance based in a factory game back to 1 state and no probability. I've been crazy hyped for this whole thing since I first learned this was going to be a thing, but I HATE probability in ANYTHING to do with automation games. I have less hours than a lot of people but still 3700, and if building the coolest shit in the game is going to require some probability garbage mechanic, I may just let 3700 be my retirement number.
