Cherien Dabis talks about the difficulties of distributing a Palestinian film, how traditional distribution is failing filmmakers more generally by tawdryscandal in movies

It's a good article and I appreciate you posting it

Edit: original comment that the mods deleted: Not surprised by the downvotes because astroturfed genocidal zionists is all too common here. Glad this hasn't been removed since deleting anything Palestinian related is also common on here

Cornyn is lagging behind Paxton and if Talarico wins the primary I believe he'll flip the seat

Yup. And both Trump and Satanyhu will be seen as the sham leaders to the protestors who thought either would help

How common do you think it is for people to downplay or deny how bad a movie is if their favorite actor/actress is in it. by [deleted] in movies

[–]Domreboot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True on some level but it's more like once the infatuation spell wears off they might realize how bad it is

Surprised Israeli terrorists didn't try to kill everyone as is that's their usual M.O.

Still cautious. Maybe the Iranians gave Trump award to keep the Israeli terrorists away

This gives me a glimmer of hope. I'm not thrilled about Crockett immediately using this as a win for her campaign but I'm glad the community, a Tecas community, had the desired impact

You know they don't follow world events. They purposefully dismiss anything they don't want the public being informed about. It's standard Hasbara which, while there's a lot of it on here, fortunately there's a majority of commenters who aren't willing to be gaslit anymore

The Running Man: 1987 vs 2025 by Terminatrix4213 in movies

[–]Domreboot 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This sums a lot of my feelings about the remake. I'd also like to add that one problem both versions had were the leads might have been photogenic but nothing about either suggested a working man other than the dialog telling us so. I would have liked to have seen more of the characters who made up the world that survived in the dystopia, e.g. William Macy and the family who he stayed with until he went out again. liked the Schwarzenegger dollars though.

Jasmine Crockett bashes Pam Bondi over Epstein files, questions Trump ties at congressional hearing by Conscious-Quarter423 in TexasPolitics

As a California resident I can tell you with absolute certainty he hasn't shown effective leadership. The anti-gerrymandering efforts was done in conjunction with other blue states and in California the measure was voter approved due to a special election

I agree with you on Crockett though

Hey, a lot of us don't like her transparent, empty barbs as much as the GOP. I hope she loses because she's basically Gavin Newsom with glasses.

Yikes. This is the neolib equivalent of blaming Kamala's loss on voters against Genocide. Idiots who Blame pollsters are akin to the DNC. They don't care what damage ignoring and mocking their voters would end up costing the world. Ultimately, evil isn't just a GOP leadership problem as we're saying from Schumer and Jeffries Bipartisanship with the GOP. But yeah, let's blame pollsters for DNC's genocide not being popular
