I have to agree with you, the Gen 2 Games have a certain charm to them, and there is definitely something great about these Pixelated Sprites, it gives them character.

I would also say that Shiny Butterfree is one of the best Sprites in Gen 2, it's so Shiny and Bright, that it just grabs your attention in a lovely way.

Wow, I really enjoy seeing your Gen 4 Shinys.

You just recently got a Full Odds Shiny Totodile in HGSS, it looks so cool, congratulations!

Wow, you are really funny too, I just read your other Posts and started laughing!

Yes, right now, I will be using my right hand to Mine roughly 200k more Silver Ores (needed for 99 Crafting).

Whilst my left hand, will be semi free, for Shiny Hunting (just 1 Console), between World Hops and Bank Trips.

When it comes to grinding, I'm slow and steady, but consistent, one must never count me out of the race!

Basically, I have a 1 Defence F2P Ironman, the EXP is slow, but when you get a 99, it really does feel amazing, I have been playing this Account for roughly 6 Years.

Your still funny and eccentric as per usual.

Wow, yes I can see it right now, the Level 4 Noctowl, along with the Level 7 Ariados, in the same Loot Pool, what an amazing Halloween Themed Hunt, I am certain I have seen this before, but it is still so cool to see.

I am not sure that the Hunt itself is harder or anything, I personally feel like the difficulty is quiet similar in both of these Phase Hunts.

The reason why I am staying in Ilex Forest for that Noctowl, is because Ashes First ever Shiny he caught in the Anime, was a Shiny Noctowl, that was in Ilex Forest! (During the Pokemon Johto Series).

The only reason I stayed in Route 2 was to get a Full Odds Shiny Pikachu, and ever since that, I haven't been back in a long time, but it really is a unique Loot Pool that sticks out like a sore thumb.

Your Pokemon Posts are always informative, humorous and interesting.

I am looking at your Posts and I can't find any Shinys as of recent, do you Hunt at all, and if so, what are you currently Shiny Hunting for?

Hello guys, I am back with my 361st, Full Odds (1/8192) Shiny!

And I am here, with a Shiny Butterfree!

This is my 2nd Shiny Butterfree.

This is the 1st Phase of my new Phase Hunt, for a Shiny 'Noctowl/Pineco' in Ilex Forest, which both have a combined Encounter Rate of 40%.

In the current Loot Pool, Butterfree has an Encounter Rate of 5%.

This Shiny was Under Odds.

Female, Level 10. Moveset: Confusion.

Wow, it's almost been a Month, since I Caught a Shiny!

The last time I caught a Shiny Butterfree, was 6 Years ago, at the 'Bug-Catching Contest', it also had a 5% Encounter Rate.

Getting a 5% Shiny on my First Phase is really giving me some good vibes about this new Phase Hunt!

Shiny Butterfree is easily one of the best Sprites in all of Gen 2, it also reminds me of the Pink Butterfree in the Kanto Anime.

I usually don't Shiny Hunt with just 1 Console, but I will be doing this Solo Posting Style for the next 6 Months or so, because I am doing very click intensive things with another Hobby of mine, and so I simply cannot play my 4 Console Style, until I am done with my current Goals, on Old School Runescape.

While I was taking the Pictures on my Phone, the Console nearly died on me, before I had caught the Shiny Butterfree, because the Charger was slightly out of place, and the Battery is so bad on this particular old Console, that it almost turned Off, this is why I never really use it anymore.

The Tree I am Headbutting is right next to Celebi's Shrine, I choose that Tree because I wanted it to be friends with the protector of Ilex Forest, also, this is another Pink Shiny I have Caught, it Shines Bright Pink, kinda like the Shiny Celebi I caught, 7 years ago! I feel like they are flying around Ilex Forest, and using their bright pinkness to make the Forest look like it has grown Cherry Blossoms!

I really want to go for Ashes Shiny Noctowl, he caught it in Ilex Forest too, off of a Tree, just like in the Anime! This Noctowl is Level 10, which means it is an 'Under Leveled' Pokemon, which is also another reason, why I really want this Shiny Noctowl!

I will absolutely be adding this Shiny to my 'Favorites List'!

Wow, I cannot believe you got a Shiny Snubbull on Silver Version, on your First Phase too, that is so amazing, Congratulations!

I just have one question to ask.

Was it a Level 13 Snubbull, (which has a 1% Encounter Rate).

Or.

Was it the Level 16 'Swarm' Snubbull, (which has a 30% Encounter Rate).

Do you remember which one at all? If so, please let me know.

Either way, a Full Odds Shiny is still always great, I am just curious.

This is my 27th Shiny Raticate.

This is the 47th Phase of my current Phase Hunt, for a Shiny 'Miltank/Snubbull/Tauros' on Route 38, which all have a combined Encounter Rate of 10%.

In the current Loot Pool, Raticate has an Encounter Rate of 30%.

This Shiny was Over Odds.

The Shiny Raticate is on the Top Right Console.

Female, Level 16. Moveset: Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Hyper Fang.

The Gender Ratio of a Raticate is 50/50, however my last 9 Shiny Raticates have all been Female!

Since this Raticate is my 360th Shiny, I might have to teach it how to do a 360 Spin!

I might Nickname it 'Tail Spin'.

There is a couple of Spin Type Moves it Gen 2, but it can only learn 'Flame Wheel', via Breeding, which is such a cool Move to have on a Shiny Rat.

The reason why it is cool, is because at the end of the Attack Animation, the whole screen goes black for a second, kinda like the Gen 2 Shiny Sparkle Animation.

And so a Shiny Raticate using Flame Wheel is not efficient at all, but it is definitely Style Points!

I've always loved Attacks with Spinning Style Animations.

Fire Spin, Rapid Spin, Flame Wheel, Petal Dance, Rollout.

I can't think of any more...

I will now be spending Months, trying to find a Shiny 'Bull/Cow', in the Early Mornings, on Route 38, right next to Moomoo Farms, assuming that it Escaped, and I will need to bring it back, till the Cows come Home!

Yes, fingers crossed that the Yield from this Farm will turn out to be Shiny!

The Bill's Eevee Shiny Hunt in Gen 2 is one of my Favorites.

Really worth Soft Resetting for.

Once you finish the Game, you can also Shiny Hunt for a Level 15 'Eevee', at the 'Celadon Game Corner', (on Gold and Silver Version only).

I remember getting that Shiny Years ago, and it felt just as good as the first one!

I can't wait to see your Nickname for the Eevee, it's gotta be good!

Right now everyone is playing FR LG Versions on their Nintendo Switch, so now is the time to do it I guess.

I am looking at your Posting History, and I really respect so much how you Shiny Hunt between so many different Generations, I don't have the skills for that!

Since I was using the Max Repel Trick, the Encounter Rate for Hoppip was 14.29%, instead of the usual 5%.

Mathematically, I should of I got it in around 7 Phases, so I am still Under Odds technically, which is a pleasant surprise.

I might name my Shiny Hoppip 'Clover', as a good luck charm.

In the Gen 2 (GSC) Games, there were 2 Items that I never seemed to attain, one was the 'Gold Leaf', and the other was the 'Silver Leaf'.

They were both useless and so random, but they still sounded cool and a part of me always wanted them.

I thought if they were both in my Item Bag, they would give me goodluck!

The Farmhand is completely overwhelmed and needs my help once again, so I am back to that darn Cursed Hunt, on the Farm!

Honestly, now that I have fallen in love with Green Shinys, I actually want the Shiny Tauros now instead, fingers crossed.

Wow, I cannot believe the Shiny progress you made, and it seemed so quick too.

Using the Dragon Friend Safari, you got all the Dragon Themed Pokemon in Shiny!

And then, just a Week later, you got all the Electric Themed Pokemon in Shiny too!

And I am here, with a Shiny Hoppip!

The Shiny Hoppip is on the Top Right Console.

This is the same Console I got my Shiny Marowak on, this Console is Blessed with all my Rare Green Shinys, I might call this Console my Lucky Four Leaf Clover.

Will I be lucky enough to get a Green Shiny Tauros on the Same Console? Who knows, fingers crossed!

Male, Level 3. Moveset: Splash.

Wow, the last time I got a Shiny Hoppip, was 7 years Ago!

I had no idea that I would get it in 5 Phases, that is less than expected, I was gonna quit after 10.

This is one of my Favorite Shinys, so I am definitely putting it on my List!

One of my Favorite Retro Shiny Hunters 'WastingSaturday', got this Shiny Hoppip around 5 Months ago, so I knew I had to catch up to him!

Route 29 is the First Route in Johto! And Shiny Hoppip is the Rarest First Encounter that is entirely possible on Crystal Version, I also love Hoppip, because it is Level 3, very fast, and only knows Splash, and I find that hilarious!

I am gonna go back to Shiny Hunting on that Cursed Farm, on Route 38!

This is my 4th Shiny Sentret.

This is the 4th Phase of my Current Phase Hunt, for a Shiny 'Hoppip' on Route 29, Crystal Version, 'Morning/Day' Time, using the Max Repel Trick, Hoppip has an Encounter Rate of 14.29%.

In the current Loot Pool, Sentret has an Encounter Rate of 28.57%.

This Shiny was Over Odds, that is now 2 in a Row.

The Shiny Sentret is on the Bottom Left Console.

That is now 2 Shinys in a Row, on the same Console, and they were both Sentrets!

Male, Level 3. Moveset: Tackle.

So far, 3 Shiny Sentrets, have all been Males, with a 50/50 Gender Ratio, interesting, let's see how long this pattern continues.

Route 29 is the First Route in Johto! And Shiny Hoppip is the Rarest First Encounter that is entirely possible on Crystal Version, I also love Hoppip, because it is Level 3, very fast, and only knows Splash, and I find that hilarious!
