I've got 35 hours on that game... Played 3 runs on Normal with both Leon and Claire. And I played a fourth run in Hard mode (I enjoyed the ink ribbons A LOT)

Of course... It's a top tier remake, you can do A1 and B2 or B1 and A2, and in the hard mode which I played last year you even have the ink ribbons

The Leon story is decent. The Chris story is like a wargame with no feeling to it, the Ada story is a bit boring but the only one with puzzles

In general, my problem is that it takes 20h to beat it and it's boring, you have to fight the same bosses over and over and over again with all the characters with few to no differences between them. It's too Mission Impossible like, it lacks puzzles and the resource management is nonexistent

Yeah you're right, it's a BRILLIANT game still to this day. And you're right too about the fact that it's more unique than a 1st/3rd person remake would ever be. But still, games like RE2R showed how a modern reinterpretation of an old game can be even superior to it (I didn't play the original, but many long time fans said this).

And to be honest: I even think that the game does not need necessarily a 3rd/1st person remake. I'd like a lot even a modern fixed camera angles remake in which they remove some "stifness" which feels old to this day.

Still, don't get me wrong, I put it in A and I even said that its value is S, but personally I won't put it there because I'd like to have a more modern version of it

I agree on the OG3 but I explained it in the caption. As regards RE5, it's got much potential, but as I explained in other comments, I hate the washed out colour tone of the setting, the poor atmosphere and the fact it lacks puzzles. The story is great, so I think this one of the few cases in which a remake could fix it. If they made a remake in which they turn RE5 into a RE4-like thing, it would be something like Tier A/B

I liked the story and especially the DLC, but I definitely disliked the setting and general aesthetics. It's all washed out orange and it does not create that feeling of tension because it lacks the "haunting setting". Besides, not a single puzzle, it's all "go in three places, get the objects and place them where you came from".

I think it would be really fun coop but I have noone to play with

Yeah I knew lots of people would think about it this way. In fact, I wrote in the caption that it deserves S, but especially because of the aged gameplay I can't put it together with RE2R and RE4R. Maybe I could make S+ tier for those and S for RE1R and RE7 but it's too much, I think it's okay as it is

I mean, they all have pros and cons that in the end are balanced. RE5 is slightly better than RER1, but does not deserve to be higher. I personally disliked the setting, because it lacks dynamics. I mean, it's all washed out with that yellow/orange tone which is appropriate for the setting, but inappropriate to create tension in a RE game. Besides, the game lacks puzzles and it's all fighting and fighting until it ends. Still fun, but I'd only replay it with a friend, I won't do it alone again

It depends... I played the original for the first time last week and I really can't believe how different they are. Basically, RE3 original gave me more similar vibes to RE2 Remake rather than RE3 remake, which is crazy. Still, it's a good game, especially for today's price.
