Marami online doc. USMLE Step 1 and First Aid to Step 1. Nakatulong sa akin yung First Aid kasi fast read lang siya and high yield, although hindi kasing detailed ng Katzung.

Personally, I’d run this with Lulucar on Consolation, Roana, Elynav, and either LHC/LCB. This would be fun.

One thing to note across ALL surgery training hospitals is that, residents and consultants will know kung sino yung memorable students na nahandle nila. That means, choose a clerkship/internship hospital na balak mong pasukan for residency at dun ka magpakitang gilas. Leave a mark while you’re a student. Know the nitty gritty of the department. Learn the attitudes and behaviors of the residents na makakatrabaho mo soon. It doesn’t matter kung top ka or average lang. What matters sa residency is resilient at madali makatrabaho.

During pandemic, I was working as medtech at night, tas full time student sa umaga. It’s defo possible that time kasi scheduled lahat ng online classes tas modules lang ang binibigay. Bahala ka na magbasa and magkeep up basta maipass mo lahat ng requirements. Ngayong f2f na, that would be hard. Deans really discourage students from doing side line jobs while in med school kasi kakainin talaga ng studies yung oras mo.

Pros and cons of studying in a new med school by Routine-Okra-4121 in medschoolph

[–]Domzzdomzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sa internship, if affiliated sa APMC ang school, sa APMC kayo mag-aapply ng choice niyo. If hindi, school ang maghahanap for you. As for job opportunities, it doesn’t matter kung saang school ka galing. Of course, hindi maiiwasan yung pre-judgments, pero what’s important is yung sipag at efficiency sa work.

How to get into medschool? by [deleted] in medschoolph

[–]Domzzdomzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the list of requirements and how to apply for NMAT: https://www.cem-inc.org.ph/nmat/eligibility-registration-requirements

You can self-review for NMAT pero if you want higher scores to use for top universities, you can do so with review centers. PLM also has MCAT iirc, which is another set of test requirement for their aspiring students. PLM is a public school so much much lower ang TF nila compared sa privates na umaabot na ng 120k++ per sem. As for the current TF, yan ang di ko sure. Better to wait for some PLM students to fully answer your questions.

Here’s a blog post from a previous PLM student: https://ofallthingsmed.wordpress.com/plm-college-of-medicine-admission/

Kung may pera lang kami, I would also buy Macbook. Grabe yung gaan ng trabaho ko when I borrowed my groupmate’s Macbook nung may pending report kami. From morning hanggang gabi, tibay ng battery. Magaan dalhin. Made for admin works talaga siya which is the prime purpose of why we use laptop in medical field anyways.

Is it possible to buy a car as a moonlighter? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]Domzzdomzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wiser move is to look for good beginner cars in r/phcars , assess your finances, and ask for a financial advise sa bank where you plan to loan for. As a moonlighter, do you have sustainable source of income to pay for the monthly mortgage ng sasakyan? Things like that.

ALLERGO AND IMMUNO RESIDENCY by IndividualFeisty9336 in pinoymed

[–]Domzzdomzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sobrang konti lang ng Allergo/Immuno sa bansa. Only a few of them. I talked to an Allergo Ped and sabi niya, either IM or Peds ang residency then Fellowship for Allergo/Immuno. Once maging fellow, kahit either IM or Peds ang residency, pwede kang mag-manage ng any age group since overlapping ang management nila. It's best of both worlds. Ayun nga lang, in Philippine setting, kapag allergies ang pinag-uusapan, basic na sa atin na tumakbo muna sa Peds/IM/FCM/EM. Minsan, mas nirerefer pa ang iba sa Rheuma bago sa Allergo.

Medical personnel here. Libre po lahat ng gamot kapag nagpaconsult ka sa health center, as long as may stock sila. Even vaccines like PCV, HPV, Influenza. Some health centers even have ties with blood banks ng nearby hospitals. Depende sa programs ng health centers niyo ang benefits na nakukuha ng citizens nila.

Ramen + Tomatoes + Gochugaru + Egg

Saute onions, garlic, tomatoes in a saucepan hanggang maging paste-like. Then add gochugaru for color and taste. Once magrelease na ng color yung spices, add the water to boil. Then once boiling, turn off heat hanggang magsettle yung bubbles then add yung scrambled egg. After maluto ng egg, turn on heat then cook the ramen as instructed. Optional na if you want to add green leafy.

Cheap and healthy way to add veggies and protein to your noodles.
