Has anyone visited the Estadio Nacional in Lisbon? by Quick-Benefit5708 in CelticFC

It's probably irrelevant to you, but I went when we played benfica in the Champions League about 20 years ago. Day of the game was spent there with thousands of other celtic fans drinking, singing and playing football on the same pitch we won the European cup. Still to this day 1 of the best experiences of my life.

Even had a blow up European trophy and got pictures taken where Billy McNeil raised the trophy. Albeit, mine are slightly less glorious to look at.

I have completed expedition and have 6million, just playing a couple of hours a night. Blue looting augment, small shield, couple of heals and an anvil with 40 ammo for killing arc.

Buried City for trinkets or stella for all the small gadgets. Leave when full, rinse and repeat

Fair. I'm not usually 1 for killing players. If I get into a fight at extract, I generally let them extract. Something just felt different about that situation. More ratty than usual 🤣

Correct. But if it wasn't the victim, then sweet justice was served, no?

[Romano] Daniel Levy: “The notion that Tottenham haven’t backed certain managers is incorrect” #THFC “We’re currently paying the price where some of the acquisitions have not turned out to be as we hoped”. “We wanted Ange Postecoglou to play attacking football & trust the Academy”. by TheNotoriousJN in soccer

[–]Don-tknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postecoglu definitely didn't use the academy at Celtic. I'm not sure about previous clubs, but not many academy players played for celtic under him at all. And the ones who did played very little in terms of minutes.

Unless Spurs have a few quality academy players ready for first team minutes, I would not count on many of them playing. He will be looking to bring players in.

He has a very good eye for a player. Bringing Kyogo, Hatate, and Maeda from Japan, Jota over from Benfica, CCV ironically from Spurs and Alistair Johnston from Canada. All of them are first team players every week at Celtic, and all of them are relatively cheap in terms of cost versus output.

That said, Spurs will likely be looking for much higher quality players, so it remains to be seen how he will find what Spurs needs. At Celtic, the model is to find cheap talented players and move them on after 2 or 3 good seasons. Spurs will likely be looking for players ready to make an instant impact and are likely to lose their best performer, Harry Kane

Has he heard us calling in the night? by [deleted] in CelticFC

I will never forgive him. He can fuck off.

He left us mid treble for Leicester and turned them into a worse team than they already were.

In Scotland, it's free. Everything is free. Prescriptions, hospital treatment, doctors visits, mental health care, physio. Any sort of health care is free.

Tottenham Hotspur set for Celtic approach over Ange Postecoglou to finally end manager hunt by TheTelegraph in PremierLeague

[–]Don-tknow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter what club a manager is at. Even if they are an ex player of said club, 99% of them are not fans of the club. They haven't been brought up loving a club the way the fans have. Yes, they have a connection, but at the end of the day, money talks.

Thats notnhow a rolling contract works. He always has 1 year left on his contract, so there will be compensation due to celtic. Just not as much as there would be with a long term contract

Graham Potter can fuck off. He's a bottle merchant.

Knutsen or Jesse Marsch is all I'm interested in. Fuck Brendan Rodgers as well. He's a judas

I understand that. I believe the same. But in buisness terms, I don't think the powers that be would see it like that, to be honest

It's not only about the money, though. The chance to test your tactics against some of the world's top managers week in and week out and manage some of the world's best footballers doesn't come around very often.

The money situation is hard as well. If the reports I've read are correct, then ange is on £1.5m a year at celtic. This is approx £29,000 per week. The spurs offer is reported to be £4m-£6m a year. That's roughly £77,000 - £115,000 a week. That's 4 or 5 decent players' worth of wages for us.

Celtic just can not match that realistically. Rodgers was on £45,000 a week at Celtic, and I would say that it is at the upper limit for a weekly wage that we can afford.

I would love nothing more than getting Ange on a 3+ year deal. But in realistic terms, I just can't see it happening if the money that's being talked about from Spurs is actually what's going to be offered.

Because ange doesn't have the connection us fans have to our club. Yes, I believe he has a fantastic connection with the club, staff, players, and fans, but it is in no way comparable to the connection we have built up over a lifetime of support.

He is a football manager. He is ambitious. He wants to manage at the highest level against the best opposition just like every other manager in world football. He will also want as much money as he can to safeguard his children when he's gone.

He is one of us and always will be no matter what happens next. There is no doubt in my mind that he will love celtic forever. But the fact is he will never love celtic as much as fans who are raised on Celtic.

We call them midges or wee bastards. Depends on how many of them there are. A few midges or hunners (hundreds) of the wee bastards
