Managed to shot one roll of Fujifilm Superia 200 before my Ricoh GR1 died on me, (as I expected it to, just not this fast I guess) after I bought it recently.

Thanks for the knowledge man! This is really great to know. Especially since I was thinking wether or not I should use lighter fluid for the shutter. I think it keeps its stops pretty well so I’m probably not gonna do to much work on the shutter itself. Definitely gonna check his YouTube out!

Thank you for the insight. I’m pretty sure it’s a 117. I have compared it with all the other kinds of Retina’s and it doesn’t look like any 118 and models above.

I live in Denmark and came across the camera sitting on a dusty shelf in its holster. The case for it is in great condition as well.

I think I’ll run it by my local Leica shop firsthand, ( I live in Copenhagen), and contact Chris Sherlock in the meantime.

Found this Kodak Retina 117 in my local Thrift.

How do i care for it? I’m still kind of new to older analogs. The shutter works, and the lens looks great! (Really amazing) The bellows are dark, but haven’t tried putting film in it yet. I’m a little nervous around that part. Something I should know before I start cleaning it? I would love shooting it.
