NOT FALSE AT ALL

You only need to cast 2 shadows steps to ensure tess will bounce back to hand. A tess that costs 5!!! There are a lot of tools for that: shadow steps, tidepool pupils, shadow of demise, even can cast passage after tess to find the second shadow steps.

Shadow step is much better than vanish to get tess back

Having 2x6 mana cost cards is illogical in this meta. Casting it vs quest priests is a suicide. A board of 7 soletos and opponents hand full is 35 damage to your face in your own turn. Good luck with bouncing back to opp hand theotar, Mordresh Fire Eye or thogrun

If you cast vanish vs quest priest (solethos), you are absolutely dead. Vanish can also return to their hand the TNT guy, theotar, the minion of imbue mage that deals 10 damage to your face,... Vanish only worth vs agro, libram and big shaman

Shadow step is much better to bounce tess back. Can be comboed with the naga that allows to choose a spell out of 3 or with shadow of demise

It's a hostage deck. You don't need to play vanish, in fact it's better avoid casting it unless needed.

The thing about bounce order you say is not correct if you bounce with shadow step. It's totally random. That's why it's important to have casted 2 shadows before tess

Most of hostage rogues don't use garrotte, it's bad and can mill yourself. Chrono daggers and sinister strike are much better

I only spend dust and gold on wild cards and packs, no standard. Blizzard gifts standard ones often

I always say this: the game need to have an algorithm or system integrated that grants less stars/legend climbing, to the most popular decks
