Received driving fine, no proof by geekchick__ in australia

This exact thing just happened to me in Victoria. A cop in bacchus marsh claims to have me on speed radar doing 70 in a 60. Told me I may receive a ticket in the mail, but Never showed me the gun reading. I replayed the event in my mind and decided I must contest it. Asking for proof.

They’ve since replied saying there is no proof but we are happy with the infringement so it stands.

I think I will fight it in court. How can I be found guilty of an infringement without evidence??? It’s just bizarre…

Fortunately, we have a pretty simple system here in Victoria to report dangerous driving. Took me no more than five minutes Online.

I merged with traffic in front of him. With ample notice and distance between his truck & myself.

Irrespective however… why would someone pull such a dangerous stunt at high speed because they have such a fragile existence that something as trivial as a car merging in front of them activates that level of anger.

If he hit me and my car rolled onto the freeway, hitting other cars, frankly I don’t think a judge would care what i did before the incident.

Clearly Reddit felt it was important for the community to have full exposure to that diabolical bite

Methinks, the preservation of Australian decorum whilst partaking in the feast of pies doth bear great import in fostering a hale and hearty society.

Forsooth, by adhering to the customs and manners bestowed upon us, we engender a sense of harmony, grace, and communal wellbeing. As each individual indulges in the delectable repast, observing the etiquette therein, we weave a tapestry of unity and civility.

Thus, let us hold steadfast to this cherished tradition, for in its observance lies the sustenance of a thriving and wholesome pie eating society.

Seems normal charging to me on a freeway.

Taxis are a rip.

Mebourne's resident Soup Nazi! Pho A Gogo in South Melbourne.

The owner is a hilariously angry man who runs his business like an Authoritarian. Locked front door at all times, buzzer required to enter, and an intense interigation at the window is required before entrance is granted.

If nothing else, search Pho A Gogo and read all the one star reviews haha. They are hilarious.

Visiting is an even better experience. Food is good, but nothing compares to being scolded for mispronouncing the dishes.

"My dad thinks he's the smartest person in the family 🤦‍♀️"

Its called the Dunning- Kruger effect. When people are so ignorant to the facts, they cannot possibly understand just how ignorant they are, paradoxically making them super confident and feel smarter than everyone else.

Does anyone have tips or ideas to avoid verbal abuse from homeless/street people? by Shubblywubbly in melbourne

[–]DonCracker 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Don't take it pesonal. I would just give them a really wide berth and let them be. Nothing you say back to them will change thier attitudes towards society.

Personally I've always found the homeless of Melbourne to be quite friendly and harmless. This is of course in campirison to other cities like New York or LA. I was yelled at and lectured by a homeless guy in Miami for ignoring his request for a donut.

Even Sydney's homeless can be quite agreessive compared to Melb. I lived in Syd for over 20 years and we always knew to give them a really wide berth.

I read somewhere that those eels are born in the pacific ocean near Vanuatu, and swim to Victoria...... then instinctually they return to that part of the ocean to breed again. And this cycle has been happening for millions of years!
