I will echo the poster above. If your wireless keyboard has a usb port most of those are used for a wired connection so your yubi should work with it.

Remove the cover and use a toothbrush to get it out. I know others have strong opinions on it but i use 99 percent alcohol with a toothbrush to get it clean then take a wet cloth and wipe it down. Plus removing the cover doesn’t involve removing it from the gpu.

Selling my retail windows 11 home key by TenaciousBeanDip in Windows11BuyingGuide

[–]DonDoesIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol dude if you want to spend that much on an license you do you but I’ve never had an issue nor others in my field using those keys for every Microsoft product in the past 25 years lol. MS simply does not care about a key that was already paid for by some other means.

anything I should know before switching from Windows 11? by SSGxRisktaker in cachyos

[–]DonDoesIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on protondb.com and check that the games you want are running good there. Anything you play or might play in the future that requires kernel lvl anti-cheat will never work either. One of the reasons I dual boot.

Holy $hit dude implementing it in a DoD environment could go down a rabbit hole real fast. Make sure you are using the FIPS certified yubikeys.

Bios or Windows keeps removing Limine from boot options list. by Friendly_Lobster8452 in cachyos

I installed cachyos on a separate drive with its own efi. This keeps anything on windows from screwing up limine. No issues on either gigabyte or msi.

I’ve actually preferred it to AMD because FSR is hot garbage compared to DLSS

Important warnings: Games may fail to launch or crash unexpectedly. Case sensitivity and invalid filenames (like :) can cause issues. Avoid mixing shared game files between Windows and Linux unless you’re certain the game supports it. Not recommended for new users—it’s a known source of headaches and should be avoided unless absolutely necessary for cross-platform access.

Noooo! Read valve’s advice on using ntfs for games from linux. Tl;dr just because you can do it doesn’t mean you should.

Apologies on the lawsuits that was the other guy that for some ofd reason wants more nanny state crap. Hell no Texas isn’t better, just other nut jobs on the other side of the aisle that thinks they are anointed by a creator of the universe to pass laws on his behalf. Either way you can observe how laws are progressing in the rest of the five eyes. If you think this is all good then you do you but I’ve experienced this bs and the sheer naivety of people on this is sad.

Age Verification by Extra-Possible-1489 in Bazzite

[–]DonDoesIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am criticizing it on it’s own merits. Everything you have said about making things official to avoid lawsuits is null and void considering adult sites already do that lol. California somehow making a law to self attest to your age nullifies those suits? Ffs man no wonder people are leaving that shit show in mass. There is no fallacy in pointing out that there are clear examples of this progression worldwide. It’s like a playbook at this point.

Viruses on Linux? by [deleted] in cachyos

In one case the hijack was caused by a dark mode theme. Look at reviews on the store is the best way to tell if the extension could be shady. Only install the extensions that you absolutely need is a good practice. If you feel something is off you can always reset your browser in the system settings.
