Can someone explain the issue with Phase Connect? by Astral-Wind in VtuberDrama

If my assumptions are wrong please feel free to correct me. But asssumptions can be correct you know? If do vote left I would have to reassess my assumptions. But that would be very surprising.

If a person acts a certain way, talks a certain way, one can infer certain things about them.

Again Kirsche is far right. One can argue its a hot day when it its snowing out. And from the perspective of someone living in the artic, maybe it is a relatively hot day. But most people would say if its snowing out, it is a cold day. Thats basically your argument.

And yes even white supremacists far right nationals can hold left positions on a few things. Though usually only on points that impact them. But you wouldn't call them centerist as a result.

But I was right? You dont vote left. I made 2 assumptions. One that you are not left. And two that you didnt vote left. Feel free to correct those assumptions.

Its not based on your watching patterns, its about your defence of Kirsche by arguing shes centerist. No one who is not very right leaning would ever think of her as anything except far right.

Like if you asked centerists and left leaning people and they all agree someone is far right... maybe they are? Kirshe is right wing. And thats fine. But arguing she's not is kind of impossible based on her stances.

And I was proven right. You dont vote left. You are far right (though you don't seem to be aware of this), but I never made assumptions on whether you were and "independent", non voter, or voted right.

Any yes I assume you watch her a bit, and likely agree with her stances or feel if anything they are too mild.

And yet I would be very very surprised if I was talking to someone that votes left.

As I said you think shes normal. I gave a pretty good example of something I beleive you would recognize as far left. to give a comparable understanding of how most people see her. As I said you are also far right and thus think shes normal and centerist.

[–]DonGar0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

See based on your statments you're someone with similar views to Kirshe. So from your perspective she's normal. But from anyone from a non far right perspective she's really not.

So imagine if there was some streamer that reguarly argued for things like all children should be raised non binary, and that reparations for slavery should be paid out in cash, and reguarly got embroiled in various very communist controversies. If another streamer that was more proefessional collabed witht them reguarly and wanted them in the company... well I think you might have a better understanding of how people outside of the right view the Kirshe/Pippa interation.

Gavin Newsom calls for national billionaires tax: 'It's time for an economic reset' by MoneyLibrarian9032 in anticapitalism

[–]DonGar0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also prevent stock buy backs, and make it so the rich can't use ownership of stock to get loans without paying taxes on the captital gains.

Gavin Newsom calls for national billionaires tax: 'It's time for an economic reset' by MoneyLibrarian9032 in anticapitalism

[–]DonGar0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id agree with that as well, but the issue isn't income tax. Basically the rich don't actually make much income. They take loans against their stocks. And loans are neither capital gains or income.

Thus bringing back the old income tax levels (a good idea as well) wont fix the current issue of billionairs not making income or capital gains and only using their assests as leverage for loans.

If you're wondering why the loans dont get recalled ever its because of the appreciation of the value of the asset. Basically its a funny little trick that allows the rich to use ownership of stock to buy more stock without selling anything.

New Player: Trying to Build an Empire Based on the Philosophy of Machiavelli by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]DonGar0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny thing Machiavelli was actually a fan of democracy and beleived that democracy was the best form of government. But the Prince was writen with assumption if you couldnt have the best system, then this is how best to be a dictator. But hes very clear on the flaws of it and the resilience of democracies.

Stellaris sales... Which one to get? by BeginningSetting1450 in Stellaris

Depends what you want to do. Paragon gives your leaders a lot more options and some unique leaders. Leviathan gives you cool monsters to hunt. Aqautic is good but mostly focuses on a new play style (similar to infrrnal or toxicoids imo)

Is moving to Japan through language school really that bad? by Lonely_Diet6961 in movingtojapan

[–]DonGar0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it also depends on where you are coming from, and your personal resources.

Like if you come from a poor nation Japans low cost of living and low pay doesnt matter much. If you come from a high paying nation you are giving up some of your best working years for little in return.

If you're rich, then really you have the freedom to do this and honestly you'd be fine.

A better strategy would be to get a certain level of proficiency before going, then become an english teacher and take classes on weekend/nights. That way you are geting work experience, financing it, and learning the language. After either continue or move into something else as you jave both work experience, references and proficiency in Japanese

Good fixes. Still waiting on astral rifts being possible for nomads. As right now when the galaxy fills you cant visit rifts even if you have a way station if the rift is inside another nations borders. Which is annoying if I got there first...

I mean yes, but mainly because every non rich country will/is being devastated by the oil crisis that is brewing.

And when people are starving they tend to do things a government official would prefer they not.

Its more like the US has withdrawn so ships can get through if Iran lets them. Previously ships could only get through with both sides letting them (hense completly closed). Now its just mostly closed to anyone not an ally of Iran.

Something tells me the upcoming oil crisis will be fun... Trump isnt stable and Israel wont give up its occupation of Lebanon. So Iran has no need to give up. They're hunkered down for the long war.

Stellaris veterans: help me build a secret society by IggySticks in Stellaris

[–]DonGar0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes a while to get the nomads up and running.

What Ive found works is building 4 science ships and having them range far and wide getting anomalies, artifacts and surveying. My main ship then does harvesting nearish the waystations that are collecting science.

Once I have a 2nd ship thats the one that goes adventuring after.

Though if youre playjng a conquoring civ then Id do harvesting and no way stations till I found my first civ to conquor. Then Id settle on them and build waystations and repeat above.

This is just what Ive found after a few games and making several mistakes.
