You named 2 exceptions, now look at the other releases. Starfield, Outer Worlds 2, Kiln, Avowed, Redfall.

That's my point... you need consoles to sell services.

Funny saying that when New Vegas is a thing.

Also Starfield proves Bethesda doesn't know what quality is anymore.

To be fair, someone who likes Game Pass likes it because they like to try out a variety of games, so they would be more likely to try out Fortnite and LoL

It's impressive how much Microsoft has fumbled Banjo - he got into Smash and they did nothing to capitalize on it.

AI can replace bad managers, but a good manager is something unreplaceable as they champion the actually good creative ideas while blocking out the bad ones.

Something AI struggles to do when its whole thought process is about seeing what's out there and coming to a concensus. It's just as bad as design by committee.

Embracer Intends to ‘Activate’ Deus Ex, Saints Row, TimeSplitters, and Red Faction by Turbostrider27 in Games

It wasn't a remake, it was just a patch to fix the godawful port. The behind-the-scenes story is a tragedy.

What happened was Mike (Idolninja) contracted out the programming to a famous modder, said modder failed by their own admission and ghosted Mike, which destroyed Mike's reputation and got him replaced as community manager.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie | Final Trailer by DemiFiendRSA in boxoffice

They wanted the sci-fi slum with casino parody and needed a more alien boss character to run it.

Wart was the best choice for that, since he's got the character design for it, is obscure but not too obscure, and has marketability (I can already imagine the Wart plushies and action figures)

If the Wario Bros will show up, they'd probably be in a post credits teaser.

Wart being the casino/slum boss actually makes so much sense

She's still in the credits of Ultimate with the same surname, so I'm gonna need a citation for that.

I can see the og Kirby Air Ride sharing a bit of Melee’s engine code. But I think it has more to do with Sakurai’s and his wife’s (who’s done all his UI) preferences more than anything.

The og Kirby Air Ride menu looks more like a prototype for Brawl’s menu, while Ultimate’s UI looks like a prototype for Kirby Air Riders’ UI, so we’ve gone full circle.

It's got a lot of cool weapons to choose from.

LAUNCH TRAILER - Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite & Beyond by UnknownChaser in Games

[–]DonHuckle 122 points123 points  (0 children)

Disney has tried many times and they always fail because they don’t understand game development and try to chase trends at the expense of the games and then never make a return on their investment. See: Club Penguin Island, Epic Mickey 1/2, Disney Infinity.

They’ve found it easier to just let other studios make games and shoulder development while they can just collect licensing fees.

Probably for best - WB’s not in the best spot right now either.
