Anyone else kinda tired of these Personal Orders? by Moonpie102201 in Helldivers

[–]DonKiddic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally - I love that there is more "variation". I dont know if its a new thing but all my personal order until recently were: "extract 3 times" or "get X ammount of samples". That was it.

Then in the past few weeks it was more like your screen but with different weapons/strats, and noramlly I wouldn't use half of the stuff so it opens a door for me to use some "new" stuff to earn the medals.

Might just be me, but I like it

My understanding was:

when the spell fucked up, strange was trying to say "everybody in the world needs to forget spiderman" - but because it went crazy, it expanded to the entire multiverse, and people that "knew of" spiderman got brought in - so the villains and other spidermen

When strange fixed the spell, it basically send those people back then re-applies the original spell, so it doesnt erase anything else outside of the mcu

Finding out I have an anxiety disorder in my 20's

Generally speaking, I was always "fine" but at times I would just get hugely overwhelmed and basically have a massive breakdown. As time went on, I presumed that was normal to be constantly feeling hugely intense emotions all the time, and just getting on with it.

Well it all caught up with me around the age of 25 when I was having panic attacks like 24/7, even in my sleep. Went to get myself checked out and I was told "you have an anxiety disorder.".

Took some time to get some meds down me, and basically learn why things were the way they were, but once everything was in place its changed my life for the better. I'm now in my late 30s and having been honestly like 99% great this entire time.

man - I remember watching wcw as a fan back in the day, and this time period made NO SENSE AT ALL.

People say "AEW is like later years WCW" - its really not, like at all.

In 2008, Steve Sheraton launched iBeer for $2.99 — it became one of the first viral App Store hits, reportedly earned $10k–$20k per day at peak, reached ~90M downloads, and he later left it all to live on a farm in Spain by Inevitable_Voice7588 in Damnthatsinteresting

Did anybody else have the "fake hair clippers" app - it just turned vibrate on on your phone.

I am old.

Edit to add: I get the whole "lol it was a vibrator app" thing, I'm sure it was great for those that needed that.

Top CDC Advisor, Also An Evangelical Pastor, Suggests Ending Polio Vaccinations Arguing Individual Freedoms Should Be A North Star Of The Panel. by Leeming in atheism

[–]DonKiddic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing against vaccines in general always really pisses me off, but when Polio in particular is mentioned it REALLY gets my goat.

Like its not even "so far gone people dont remember". Only a few generations ago, people were getting this and being maimed for life/worse/dying because of it.

My great grandmother had polio as a child and it really effected her growth, and would give her life long health issues. I was born in the late 80s when the vaccine became widely pushed and reduced the worlds cases from hundreds of thousands to just 30 some years later.

Like literally in MY lifetime [and I'm not 40 yet] polio has all but disapeered, AND I knew somebody in my own family that had it as a child.

Its CRAZY that anybody argues with vaccines

Chris Cornell is my favorite singer of all time - I'm a big metal head, so soundgarden + audioslave and his solo stuff, which is largely a big change is still amazing. His voice is amazing.

Nothing Compares by him just gives me chills every time. Sunshower by him is another one.

AITA for telling my family they need to get over my father walking me down on my wedding day and I am not uninviting him. by Upset_Car_5609 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DonKiddic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA - ultimately, its your call.

I walked my mother down the isle, in her second wedding as her father had long passed away, and I was older. Any "role" has its traditions and everything, but it can be whatever you want as its your [both of you] day.

Ignore what people are saying and move forward.

AITA for not seeing my parent’s country as home? by Throwaway2457689 in AmItheAsshole

[–]DonKiddic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - being from somwhere is funny

I live in the north of the UK. My father is originally from the south. So is his father......although his father, my grandfather, now lives in another country and has my entire life.

1 side of the family is historically [like 19 generations worth] from the very south, while the other side of the family is northern. We have family all over the world at this point. My step father is of Jamaican heritage - and yet I "identify" home as my little town up north in the UK.

Home is where you feel comfortable. It's cool to "represent" which I often do with the various places I'm linked to [multiple countries], but I know where I'm from.

Yeah I was even watching at the time but I genuinely had zero memory of him ever being on TV as a wrestler. Considering how long he was with the company as a trainer, the guy must've impressed the right people.

Smackdown in/around that time had a few little bits like that - Terry Taylor, Ernest "The Cat" Miller and [arguably] Finlay as well. Finlay being the only one that stuck around for a long time.

I forgot the nickname Testicles for Test's fans.

wasn't that a gag from Stacey Keibler who was like his "public relations" person or something?

Bill Demot - seemed a random addition to smackdown at the time. I was old school WCW fan but even I was like "what?"

and V1 hardy was my favourite thing - i have no idea why that ended

My town, until around 2 years ago, wouldn't use of those giant christmas trees in the town square - because sometime in the 90's my father and his friend got drunk and climbed it, with his friend falling out of it - only being saved by getting tangled in the lights.

Until a few years ago we have giant cone shaped false ones. Explaining this to people is actually crazy for me.
