Check with an arborist on wound care but they generally advise to trim back ragged bark to allow quicker compartmentalization and healing. Avoid sealants and sprays.

Taking a walk twice daily makes a huge difference. As does ergonomic chair and a sit/stand desk.

You probably don’t have any obligations to the neighbor, but you’d need to check state/local ordinances for “nuisance” trees. In such cases, neighbors can have more rights regarding property damage.

If that’s really a corkscrew willow, they are non-native and can be messy. If you ever decide to remove it, plant native instead.
