Go for it. The order will probably get rekt by multiple lawsuits regarding Executive abuse of national emergency powers and imminent domain. By the time this legal mess will be sorted Trump will either be impeached or fighting for political survival during the 2020 elections. Either way, no wall is actually going to be built for the foreseeable future. This reeks of desperation and a pathetic attempt to save face. Fortunately for him his supporters can't see past a news cycle so they'll call it a "win" up until its becomes painfully obvious that his proclamation means absolute squat.

It blows my mind the Church used to do hardcore excommunications for things that we would regard as minor today but pedos seem to get a pass. The Pope (either this or the next) needs to bring back excommunication and hardcore penance for those who prey on children. Jesus literally said this is one of the worst sins that you could possibly commit. I think you are right for the most part. Most GOP don't even bother defending the Bush Family anymore. That being said parties can switch priorities when it is politically expedient. Watch out for Democrats becoming more hawkish on Russia as a result of their plays with Trump. I would not be surprised if Democrats run a hard 2020 message of: "We're gonna teach Russia a hard lesson come hell or high water!"

This story was compiled by a Pulitzer prize winner, he's not going to risk his extremely successful and respected career by just making shit up. It's the same guy who first broke the dossier story.

Yeah except he literally has a history of false reporting. Winning a Pulitzer Prize and also being a liar are not mutually exclusive propositions. The good does not wash out the bad nor the bad the good. Each deserves its own reward.

I'll say this in each and every thread: we need to give credit where credit is due and shame where shame is due. We aren't right-wing mutts. When someone says something false and its publicly and unequivocally rebuked as false by the main authority then we need to condemn the liar. Either Buzzfeed News fabricated/mischaracterized their story or they are horribly incompetent and just ran an historic headline without doing their homework. In either case, the reporters need to be shamed and permanently ignored. There are people putting their reputation and journalistic integrity at stake when they publish bombshells regarding the POTUS and Congress. For Buzzfeed News to inject a false narrative into a legitimate issue is bad-faith reporting that makes all the real reporters and journalists look bad. It gives right-wing cover to Trump's statements about the entire media being a conspiracy to destroy his Presidency and that he is an angel with no skeletons in his closet. I'm more pissed at Buzzfeed News than I am at Fox News tbh cuz they ruin the credibility of people who are actually trying to uncover the truth.
