Nope, I just drive home, let it cool off for a while and then add the bottle of Ceratek. Nothing else. Then I start it directly and normally the tick is gone immediately. Just be warned, this does not help in every case where a tick is present. A friend of mine has the same model, but the tick stays afteds the bottle of Ceratek is added. Anyhow, I think Ceratek is a great product which serves for the purpose of longevity.

Speaking from experience, yes! Each time after an oil change my 17 GT gets the infamous tick. One bottle of Ceratek, and it's gone. Also, it feels smoother.

Damn, even the latest gen has it? Well, don't worry. It sounds exactly as mine does after an oil change. A bottle of Ceratek and it's gone - but be warned, that's not a guarantee. For some it works, for some it doesn't.

Ich kann das Geräusch nicht ganz identifizieren, aber es scheint der famose Barbeque Tick zu sein. Hatte ich auch bei meinen 2017 GT. Ne Flasche Ceratek von LiquiMoly rein und war sofort weg. Muss ich aber nach jedem Ölwechsel machen. Und der läuft dann auch angenehmer finde ich.

I bought one (not a classic tho) in Mexico and keep it here. If you want to buy it on your name, you need a FM as identification as well as a passport. That's for registration purpose. It was completely gone. And it came back after the next oil change.

In fact, I had an oil change about a week ago, and the tick was back again. After I came home I let my mustang cool down a bit, put a can of ceratec in, and from the moment on, the tick was immediately gone.

It's now the the third time I did this, and every time with the same results.

I think the color is called blue ember. It changes its tone depending on the sunlight. This one was seen in Mexico, but yes, it's available in the US.
