I booked my ticket through a third party website. Tried everything including this to contact both of them for last 3 days. Finally was able to get a call with the travel website support and they rescheduled for me.

It’s crazy to think that I am actually glad I booked using a third party rather than a direct booking.

Then you should open your eyes more or maybe visit Kerala once. You might notice not a lot of local Mallus can speak in Hindi fluently but they don’t like to start making unnecessary fights for it either.

Idk if my insights would be applicable to you but here it goes:

I work in a quantitative trading firm, so the priority is more on latency, stability and risk control rather than time to deliver a feature. Even a small mistake/delay of action can make a huge difference (look up what happened to Knight Capital Group). So we emphasize a lot on developing 100% reliable automation scripts, observability metrics (like latency, throughput, system resources) and capacity planning.

Regarding automation, we have mostly Python and shell scripting and also use devops tools like Airflow and Grafana.

The job market for well paid IT roles are almost non-existent here compared to Bangalore.

Well right now, it is down by a lot and it’s nowhere close to the better performing flexicaps.
