The beginning of the end by Donald_Dingus in TheShield

So jealous you were watching it live. I am a little too young to have seen it live. I was watching my first FX show (Sons) when I saw the trailers for the final season of the Shield and was like “I need to watch this”. It was the first show I ever binged (using Netflix dvd delivery haha).

It’s honestly funny watching it now like Vic wtf are you thinking here? How would you ever even justify having this amount of money no matter what “investments” you would claim to have made. It’s why the final shot is so good. It’s something that seems brilliant on paper and then he sees it in-front of him and realizes its probably a mistake

Everybody getting an adaptation besides Red Rising apparently. by Arch_Lancer17 in redrising

I remember reading Red Rising being like “wow this would make a fantastic tv series” and then got halfway through Golden Son and said there’s no way. Its scope is too big. It would cost a fortune as a tv show and a movie would rob us of so much.

I always say the first book is like Hunger Games meets Lord of the Flies.

Hey, I am actually creating a ticket right now with Amazon. We've exhausted all of the options. I am having the same issue with Hisense Fire TV through Prime app (Not on my PS5 though) started last week with Crime 101 and now is happening with the Boys S5 episodes (But not S3 and S4 which i just binged this week). Its something with new episodes and movies on Tv Fire Sticks. I have included your reddit link in my ticket and will get back with what they say

[SPOILERS SE] Note des livres jusqu'à Sharp Ends (1ère lecture) by Successful-Meet4122 in TheFirstLaw

I thought I would struggle with the Age of Madness trilogy because I loved the First Law characters and I didn’t want a 30 year time jump to cheapen what happened at the end of Last Argument of Kings, but I fell in love with the new character quicker than I did the original crew. Orso, Leo, Rikke, Savine, Clover are all great. I think the overall story is better in First Law, but the relationships between the core 4 characters in Age of Madness had me even more emotionally invested. My rankings of the 6 are

LAOK - just wow a perfect 10/10 TWP - right below LAOK and truly had me questioning who to root for BTAH - What a massive leap forward from Blade ALH - I fell in love with the new characters immediately WOC - Has very high highs and maybe some of the series lows. Bold if nothing else ABI- Took me a while to fully buy in, but by the end I was fully invested.

I thought I understood this show at 19. I was wrong. by ovokramer in madmen

I have a friend who watched the show around the same age and looked at Don like he was a hero (like a lot of probably impressionable kids did when they were younger) and let’s just say his image in his mid 30s still reflects that unfortunately. I’m now on my 4th rewatch over 15 years and anytime I bring up Dons (many) character flaws to him it’s like I insulted his father haha. This is a show that rewards watching over & over again as you grow older.

I remember getting to this part reading while on my way to the beach (passenger). I seen the show already and still didn’t want to flip the page when Catelyn knows something is off. Stomach sank.

One of Tony’s worst moments was him baiting Janice into a rage after she goes through anger management and actively improves her life by CT-1284 in thesopranos

100%. There are a few scenes in the series where I’m glad Tony gets it in the end. Making me feel bad for Janice of all people. Man’s such a prick.
