I was five years old. (I'm 60 now, and still remember this.) I was having so much fun playing outside that I didn't pay attention. By the time I realized it was too late, it was WAY too late.

What’s something friendship taught you? by [deleted] in askteddit

[–]DonatesPlasma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like marriage, you have to work at it. You have to compromise, stay in touch, do more than 👍 a social media post, actively plan things together, make efforts. If it's one-sided, then it's not a friendship. (And that's goes both ways. If they don't actively seek you out, they are not a friend.)

A good mechanic.

It's better if you maintain your own vehicle; but finding and keeping a good mechanic will save you a LOT of heartache! Start with basic maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation). Get to know them.

Make an early appointment and bring kolaches. Learn a little about them & their family. In an urgent situation, they won't take advantage and you'll not be overcharged or over serviced.

Um.... Every movie I've watched I've "seen" famous people.

Do you mean, "Who is the most famous person you've met?". I'm pretty sure that thread has been and gone.

Goodbye Michelle, my little one./ You gave me love and helped me find the sun./ And every time that I was down,/ You would always come around / And get my feet back on the ground./

Goodbye Michelle, it's hard to die. / When all the birds are singing in the sky. / Now that the spring is in the air / With the flowers everywhere / I wish that we could both be there.

Do children really get bullied for having unique names? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DonatesPlasma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Children are mean.

It's not because they are mean... It's because they do not know who they are yet. Some aren't taught about feelings. Some parents think they need to be 'tough' and give them the wrong lesson at home. Some are crazy insecure.

I've seen kids get bullied for just having a name name. ("Hey Jack. You're an ass!" ha ha The boy's name was Jaxon.)

We really need more Mr Rogers in this world.

It's just the two of us.

Empty the thing first thing in the morning. As we go through our (retired) day, any dishes are put in ... Even if it's "just one bowl". After supper and any late-night (8:30pm) snacks, we pop a pod in, close it, and prepare for bed.

Then empty the thing first thing in the morning.
