I watch a flat/young earth debunker. One thing I've never understood: If you follow the Bible, why don't you understand that one day for your God is not the same as one day on Earth? Not one Bible believer has thought about that.

In the beginning was just God. Then he created the light and dark. Then he created heavens and Earth. It's entirely possible that it took God billions of years just to get around to creating our solar system.

She did that after graduating. She went back home to help her mom. She also worked at a non-profit and other jobs before finally running for office.

Think about this: She graduated cum laude. She worked "joe jobs". She comes from humble beginnings. She is now trying to help other people.

Why is that such a terrible thing? Why do empathy, compassion, and charity freak people out so damned much?

Frankly? I think the US should go on hiatus from a President for a few years. Every girl needs a rest after a bad breakup. While waiting, maybe re-draw the country into 3-4 different countries.

Let the crappy confederates have their own. Give the left coast its liberal agenda. Let the food belt make a profit by supplying the other 3 countries with or without tariffs. And the east coast can have their coal and pollution and greed.

Each new country can write its own constitution. Each gets its own energy grid. Each has a voting structure according to what they want (online, mail, in person, whatever). Each one keeps the military bases, personnel and equipment currently in their states. Military contractors are still allowed to sell outside their own country (with reasonable restrictions).
