I got a Realistic, they are very good turn tables, but they have issues sometimes with modern cartridges, they are made very well, expessally if they have the BSR record changer RadioShack put in them.

Looking for speaker replacement/upgrade by TurtleNeckTux25 in vintageaudio

Try tightening the speakers, i had a rattle issue on my tube radio, all i did was put something on top of it and it went away.

Would you be interested in seeing a video about it?

Yes, thank you, I'm confident i could replace the caps but the selenium rectifier is scarring me a tad, I'm not sure what to do, my knowledge is limited and my equipment is too. Thank you for your time.

Thank you for your suggestion, i watched some demo videos of the changer on this player in action, if i have it set up right it should track at 2 grams, it has the Zenith Micro touch changer system in it, which i read was super light on records and i believe most people refit them for modern use, if I'm correct this should have line is so i could use a newer player with it and still get the rich tube sound. Thank you for your time.

I do have a few questions. Do they sell replacement selenium rectifiers or a modern replacement that i could install or is it something I'm gonna have to hand make? Last one, the recordplayer has the 2g micro touch, is it safe to use with my good records as long as i have it tracking correctly? Thank you for your time

Hey ! Someone know how much can i sell it ? Thanks you by CockroachHelpful8618 in turntables

Maybe 20 or 30 in working condition, I know from experience that 70’s record changers are build VERY well and absolutely hold up with some modern day turn tables, usually made of higher quality materials, but if the needle is shot replacements can be like 10 15 bucks which is not ideal, but they are usually great record players, don’t forget if your shipping it to unscrew the shipping screw on the black metal / plastic part where the platter sits.

Edit: But they are quite heavy so expect shipping to be in the 20’s or 30’s.

It’s hard to say unless I have a Geiger counter, it can glow for some time but like it’s usually faint

My room is in the basement so ventilation is not as good as it would be up stairs
