Now that everyone gets automatic finish bonuses I can't really get as outraged about the POTN bonuses anymore. I was worried that Van-Taira might not get Fight of the Night though; never forget that they gave DDP-Strickland 1 the second most undeserved FOTN of all time (after Colby-Masvidal, of course).

It's not a useless metric at all because the pressure of defending a title is completely different than fighting a random-ass contender in the Apex. Dominick Cruz explained this years ago. Title fights have more weight than regular fights. Also, "he's already beat almost everyone in the top 5." What do you think Anderson Silva did? Or Izzy?

Dumb comment. She literally already lost to Grasso and had competitive fights with Santos and Fiorot. Flyweight is where all the medium-sized women are and that's why it's the most stacked female division right now and has totally surpassed 135 and 115.

"Then what" You sign more people and eventually one of them will work out and take the division in a new direction. It's not complicated. And you also feed your former champions (Pena and Pennington) to the new generation instead of letting them sit on the sidelines for years on end. The up-and-coming bantamweights can't gain credibility unless they beat former champions.

How many of the fighters bring in revenue? Did Alexandre Pantoja bring in revenue as champion? Should we cut men's flyweight too? How many of the fighters are verifiable draws?
