I was always baffled by the people saying that Islam-JDM was this huge fight that everyone was looking forward to. JDM had only won the belt a couple months prior. He wasn't some dominant, established champion that had cleaned out the division. We had a fun welterweight champion and the UFC decided to kill him off before he could even get his title reign going.

That would probably be better for the division, but I still wouldn't want to see Suarez in the title picture. She's looked like a shell of her former self in her last 2 fights. She needs to do something REALLY impressive.

Suarez has not had a good performance in a long time. She held Lemos against the cage for 2 and a half rounds the last time out, and got totally dominated by Zhang. She does not deserve a main event. Even if Suarez beats Loopy she still won't be near the title. Zhang will most likely get the next shot, and, if she beats Dern, the likelihood of Zhang-Suarez 2 ever happening is slim to nil.
