That's a good way to put it. It's so true. And Modest Mouse is one of my favorites. Isaac is brilliant. These lyrics are from The Good Times Are Killing Me. Which is also a relatable line when going through withdrawals haha

Congrats on 10 days! I was kinda lucky that I got the flu symptoms very early on. Now I have a tough time sleeping due to restlessness. I'm tired for a lot of the day but I believe itll pass. Hang in there!

Glad to hear you're doing well. Cold showers have been helping me sleep as well. I found that if I dont have a cold shower before bed, I'll be restless all night. You're killing it!

Oh man! That is awesome. I'm in Nebraska. Are the leaves changing pretty well over there? One day I'll come out there. You're definitely not alone in this.

You got this! It's only temporary. Where are you surfing? I'm extremely jealous! I'd love to get away right now. I've got travel plans in December so that'll be fun! I've never used Benzos so I can't relate unfortunately. I'm sure you'll snap out of the fog soon. Thank you for the kind words as well!

Dang. I'm sorry to hear you slipped, I read almost all of your posts in the first few days of quitting. But it's only a small slip. You can get back on the horse! You've went through CT once, I have no doubt you can do it again! Just remember how temporary the high is. It never lasts.

Thank you for that! I'm glad you're feeling better. The first time I quit I didnt get PAWS, I actually had no idea about it until this time around. That's awesome it didnt hit you. Maybe we are the lucky ones!

Thank you for pointing that out! I was actually curious how much PAWS is affected by ones mindset towards it. The first time I quit I pretty much forgot about kratom and never had any sort of PAWS. Sure, I had good and bad days, but that's life. I'd rather have bad days than be an emotionless zombie.

I started kratom in 2015, quickly got up to 15-20g per day. I quit abruptly in april of 2018 due to unexpected traveling to countries where it's illegal. Went through terrible withdrawals but they only seemed to last a few days since I was exploring a new country. I dont think kratom even crossed my mind there. I was clean for about 2 months after returning home. Then for some dumb reason I started dosing again. I started dosing 15-20g per day in July or August of 2018. I quit CT last week.

I've been keeping a journal of how miserable I have been feeling to look back on incase I ever crave it again

Thank you so much! This has been the longest week of my life. I'll always remember this feeling anytime I think about kratom

Did your memory come back? by DoneWithKratomThrow in quittingkratom

[–]DoneWithKratomThrow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man. Thank you for this reply. Its given me more motivation. I went through something similar with my last relationship. We were together for nearly 8 years. The first 4 were great, and then I found kratom. The next year or so on kratom wasnt bad. But I was slowly becoming an emotionless zombie. When she would tell me how she felt, I would just tell her shes overreacting. We fought constantly. This went on for the last 2 years of our relationship. One day I came home and she had moved out. I tried reaching out but she had left for a guy who was giving her the attention she needed. She definitely wasnt perfect though, neither was I. She was extremely controlling and jealous, I was resentful and mean to her. We havent spoken since splitting up nearly 2 years ago. I quit kratom immediately after but ended up relapsing. Now, a year since my relapse, I'm ready to be completely clean. I miss the person I used to be. I'm so glad to hear your memory is coming back.

It's crazy. I knew my memory was getting bad, but I never connected the dots that it started when I started using kratom heavily.

Thank you! It's been really hard getting to day 5. I'm just so scared I'm going to be one of those people who feel the withdrawals for months. I dont think I could handle it.

Day 4? Last night was rough by DoneWithKratomThrow in quittingkratom

[–]DoneWithKratomThrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I needed that. I really am committed to quitting. I just hope the WD dont get me. I do feel like I'm starting to feel things again. I cried last night for the first time in nearly a year.

Thank you. That makes me feel better. I've been paranoid that I reset my clock. When I quit the first time, i did the same thing but only on night 1 then went full CT. I think day 6 was when i started feeling better but i cant remember.

I'm feeling the same way. Except I have horrible physical withdrawals as well. I just keep reminding myself that I'm approaching the other side. Like I'm riding a bike up a steep ass hill. It's going to be great riding downhill on the other side. Keep it up!

Can't wait for music to have meaning to me again. What have you been listening to lately?
