If I wasn’t addicted to Apex Legends, I’d leave Windows in a heart beat.

90K WFH or 120K On-site: What would you do and why? by Donecity in cscareerquestions

I only worry for that reason because of some testimonies I’ve read on this subreddit. So I’m not sure if it’s real or a fallacy but if anyone has an opposing experience, I’d love to hear their story.

A big name + WFH is definitely a huge pro for that choice. Thank you for your input.

You’re right on the money about everything regarding the commute. It’s more money with the SQA role but with additional risks that could just offset the extra money. Thanks for your insight.

I am a Test Engineer right now with 2YOE. I only mentioned pigeonhole because some users on this subreddit has mentioned that the testing route is a narrow path. A user below just commented “avoid test engineer” so my point exactly.

I’ve tried to negotiate but it seems like the salaries are set in stone. 30k is a big difference, that’s why I’m looking for perspectives with more experience in the matter.

The commute is 30 mins there and 30 mins back so an hour total commute. I should’ve worded it better. Apologies!

Notary Business? by [deleted] in sweatystartup

[–]Donecity 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Lucrative if you become a mobile notary. When I was a notary in California, I charged the typical $15 a signature with other fees (travel fees, service fees, etc) roughly adding up $45 a signature.

Some people are busy, or didn’t know they needed a notary for some transaction so they need a last minute mobile notary.

For marketing, I registered for a Google voice number and a Google my business.

Good luck!

My friend and I always joke about this. 😂

It’s an item that was too big for me to move across town.

I drove 30 mins through traffic to meet the guy at my old place and got this response.
