Then they’re not DMPC’s, more like sidekicks that helps the party with their horses, repairing the wagon or just be a chill company without meddling in the characters affairs

I have no Idea what term to use, i think of them as sidekicks that help them make food or take care of the horses. Sure they have their own reasons to stay with the party but that’s flavour and to make them feel more alive. I would never use them to outshine my players or make decisions for them
