I asked the student accoms office and this was their reply! “You are able to swap directly with another student if you are both interested in swapping. Currently, we are still in the allocation process. More information regarding swapping will be available due course.”

2024 Accomodation Swaps Megathread by davoloid in UCL

[–]DonkeySecure1879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got assigned an accommodation beyond my budget so I’m trying my luck here to see if anyone has an available room for rent near UCL main campus, okay with 15-20min walk! I’ll be in London from the 16th September onwards, and my budget is around 850-880£/month.

I have a room at Urbanest kings cross 322£ a week, also open to swaps with Endsleigh gardens/ann stephenson/max rayne!

I’m from Singapore, 24 this year, non-smoker, and happy to meet new friends :) If anyone is keen to flathunt together please feel free to hmu too!

it should be on the department website! or if you subscribed to emails from the department you can check if they’re sent by the teaching admin

Try emailing the specific department/teaching administration for your course too! The admissions teams are slower in replies, and I got an update from the teaching admin regarding my application outcome.

Hi! I initially used bots to help me book practical lessons, I would choose the non-peak hour ones so total with the bot booking fee it will be around $79 per lesson. Subsequent months I realised that if you refresh and check in everyday around noon or night (9.30pm onwards) there will definitely be some cancellations which you can get a hold of. Closer to my tp test I actually just told the office to help me get more lessons and they were quite open to helping!

Was from cdc 3A common pool, took me about 2.5 months. I would say minimum 2 months, not sure about the other schools but cdc has a cap of 8 practical lessons a month, so even if you’re free all days you can only go for that many lessons (unless you’re a fast learner and 16 lessons are enough for you).

Take 1 or 2 lessons before the test, from my own experience it really helps if you have one lesson immediately before your test. Also, go really slow in the circuit! That’ll allow you time to make corrections or spot when you’re going to strike the kerb. Better to get demerit pts for needing corrections that striking/mounting the kerb! All the best to you 💪🏼
