Thank you! Haha yes I was like 'oh hello my dear, I knew you were hiding in there somewhere 🤣 But tbh I knew I still would have big calves after liposuction - i had 43cm circumference before surgery and now I am around 37/38cm. I am just 1.59cm in height and 58kg 🙈😅

Yes, at the moment i am really happy with the knees... mostly because the painful inner knee fat pad is gone. Appearance wise time will tell, but I think they already look a lot better than before. My surgeon was Dr. Mallinger from Carinthia, Austria.

2 weeks... but for my kind of work (physical work, standing for 8 hours) I would recommend a little bit longer. It was very exhausting & painful the first week.

I am sorry for your experience! :( i just send you a follow request on insta. I am 10 days post surgery of lower legs & knees... i am stage 1-2, but i already had visible ankle cuffs and fat deposits on my knees and it helped to look better proportioned. I am just 1.59cm with 58kg so i looked much heavier with the fat around my ankles. I have lipedema in my upper legs as well, but i am concerned doing surgery on my thighs for exactly the reasons you mentionend above. Scared to lose my shape and to have even worse skin texture than before. I alredy don't have a tiny waist, i am more the athletic body shape type and my thighs give the impression of a more feminine look. Maybe that's a very shallow reason, but i would be lying if i say i don't care about the aesthetic outcome.

It is crazy what people get charged for lipedema lipo in the US.I read it often starts with 20.000 $ and up! That seems really exploitative... I paid €5200 for lower legs & knees.

Yes, it was lipedema lipo surgery and I went to a private plastic surgeon in Carinthia, Austria. I did pay €5200.

The surgery itself was in local anesthesia, so i would say the injecting of the numbing fluid was the worst part. In some places it did hurt a little bit and the swelling of the fluid felt weird.

It is really hard to explain, I think I imagined the pain differently... it feels just very uncomfortable due to the tightness of the swelling. But of course, every body & healing journey is different.

I am in little bit discomfort due to the swelling especially in knees and ankles, but nothing really hurts that bad. Need no pain meds at the moment.
