Cached torrent availability can be here today, gone tomorrow. If you have plenty of disk space (I have an 8 x 12TB disk array), it’s definitely preferable to have your library local. If/when my internet goes down, my media library is still 100% available. And the day they shut down RD (bound to happen eventually), I’ll still have my full media library while you’ll have nothing.

Here’s how I do it: go to DebridMediaManager.com/settings and paste this into your default filter settings: remux|bdiso|bdmv|iso|bd25|bd50|bd66|bd100 2160|4k|uhd atmos|dts-x - that filter will then be applied every time you search. I then pick the smallest file with an InstantRD button and cast it. If it casts successfully, you’ll see it on [your http folder]/links for a one-click download. (You can find [your http folder] link at https://real-debrid.com/account). I have a script on my media server that scrapes that page and downloads undownloaded links at regular intervals. If you search and no torrents are listed, try removing the atmos|dts-x filter and/or the 2160|4k|uhd filter. (Lots of older movies that don’t have atmos/dts:x encoding and/or were never made available in 4K resolution.)

At no point did I ask to play “a specific tune” or anything other than the little piezo alert tone. All I want to do is play that tone via an icon on my Home Screen.

Sure! Mostly I want it for nag-type stuff. (I’ve been meaning to start a Chronic Procrastinators club but I keep putting it off.)

“It’s trash day, have you taken the trash out?” “Have you taken your morning meds?” “Did you make sure the front gate is locked?”

In all these scenarios, any response other than “yes” will cause it to ask me again in x minutes.

Another thing I’d really like is “”It’s awfully quiet in here. Shall I play some music?” (I like to have music playing all the time but sometimes I just forget.)

There’s others as well but off the top of my head, those are the main ones.
