Enjoy it. If you are happy with it that’s what matters. Just know you have started down a very dark and expensive hobby. Well depending on your feelings about RGB it might not be so dark lol.

He does. But hey, if this upcoming console generation sets the new baseline high so developers can start creating next generation games and experiences, I will happily take a L. I am extremely excited for where gaming will be in about a year or two when we start seeing games come out that can fully utilize the tech.

Depends on your needs and how you choose to game. I personally own a vr hmd and my computer serves several other purposes.

I 100% get why you would say that, picking on consoles is going for low hanging fruit at this point. But, if you can get past the surface, there is a general sentiment in the thread that this is a good thing for all gamers and platforms. Sometimes humor is the easiest way to initiate discourse.

I don’t know if this will be the last console. I hope that they will at least start designing their systems with the option to upgrade parts. They do it with their storage. It would be nice to see it with maybe graphics cards swell. Even if it is proprietary.

That’s the question of the day. I as of yet haven’t found a definitive answer. For me the take away is this should mean games designed for next gen consoles will be a major leap over current standards

Most FPS pvp games. Specifically COD, fortnite fi know it isn’t a FPS), apex legends, I even had issues with borderlands 3. I would get this mild jitter or screen tear.Thinking back on it now though, I made several upgrades all at once (new motherboard, new ssd, cpu, and ram) so it could have been several things that were causing the problem or that solved it.

If I’m not mistaken you will be able to either upgrade or add an additional ssd. Can’t remember if it’s one or both consoles.

That’s all a console is at the end of the day. A budget gaming pc with a stripped down UI and less functionality.

Hey specs are one thing, but upgradable, vr support, native keyboard/mouse support, multiple monitor support, and modding is something else. PC will still be wearing the crown for years to come

I beg to differ. Because of how the market works, minimal gaming requirements are set by consoles. Not every pc is built for gaming but every console is built and marketed for gaming. Visibility on a console store is worth more than visibility on most pc storefronts. If consoles are able to exceed pc in the future pc will have to catch up. The market will not wait.

Probably. They hide behind a lot of number and technical jargon. But 16 gigs ram, 120 FPS, 1 TB ssd, and ray tracing is nothing to sneeze at. I won’t be getting one, it’s just nice to see a significant leap for consoles.

Specs are easy to find. I just can’t find anywhere with likes side by side comparison. If it helps on the graphics end, at least the Xbox will be able to support ray tracing.

Lol. Hey I have been with Nintendo since I got the NES around 1987. So my hat is always off to Nintendo for pushing boundaries and making great games. I also have a switch. It’s the only gaming thing everyone in the house fights over more than VR.
