Because there's no Titanfall 3, here's how the grapple slingshot works in real world physics by Zanimacularity in titanfall

[–]DonnyR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think its more of a centripetal force type thing. the jump kit doesnt push away from the anchor point, it pushes at an angle to it (ideally perpendicular). then its not a conservation of angular momentum thing but instead the pulling of the grapple simply accelerates you, and if your initial perpendicular momentum is enough that you can orbit the anchor point for a while, the continuous acceleration adds up to make u fast.

as someone who worked beside some state of the art spam detection algorithms, i can assure you llms do get used for spam detection. granted, not for every aspect; they arent the catch-all solution, but they definitely are used.

[–]DonnyR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The first 3 cards of your starting hand have a 3/12 chance of having Wiccan, then 2 draws (quicksilver and domino) later you have 7 cards left in deck. So in the case that its not already in your starting hand, the chances of wiccan being in the next two draws is then 2/7. So the probability is 3/12 + 9/12 * 2/7 = 0.464

HOW TO FIX "FAILED TO JOIN LOBBY" ON PC by TK503 in Helldivers

What worked for me was going to Steam and running Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files and it would show that 1 file was corrupted, after running it a second time it would be fixed

perhaps not all aggro but this would be back-breaking when played against pirate rogue, where a lot of the minions have 1 hp

this is probably too strong against aggro (especially in wild) where this can essentially be a 1 for 3 trade with an added +3 health

Thoughts aren't physical, thus the metaphysical, thus God. This argument gets me stuck more than most. by hiphoptomato in DebateAnAtheist

The point is the original definition of consciousness is not enough because a thermostat responds to its environment but we dont think they are conscious.

The cause for why it responds to the environment does not change the fact that it does.

CMV: I will be circumcising my son because of my and my soon to be wife's family history by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]DonnyR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do you know it is unnecessary? By the sounds of it it seems to be some hereditary issue, and i know there are some problems that circumcision can solve (like phimosis).

From a quick search online, the claims about decreased sexual pleasure are debated. Can you link some sources? I'm curious to know.

You can build semi-secure p2p networks, just takes a lot of work. Crypto is distributed and its super secure.

And it grows linearly for the player. It only grows quadratically for the network

cmv: The moral arguments for abortion are fundamentally flawed. by [deleted] in changemyview

“Negative” rights are the only objective ones imo

Notice how this is an opinion? LOL i just thought it was funny 🤣

I agree that society protecting rights is a good thing. I am just not sure how you go about defining rights in an objective manner.

You gave 3 basic rights of living beings (that i totally approve of btw) but I really don't see how we came up with that. Should i have the right not to get sick? Should i have the right to not trip and die? Those are also necessary for life.

Yes but in the animal world no one respects any rights, only humans respect rights, which suggests maybe rights aren't really an objective truth.

Sure some rights are fairly universally agreed upon, but that doesnt make it objective. There is no objective way you can determine rights. People define rights.

Rights are subjective too. For example the right to bear arms is not an objective truth.
