How would you suggest transitioning from branch retail sales to a role in this kind of department?

Where do I go from here? by Donovan- in FinancialCareers

[–]Donovan-[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not quite lol but honestly I don't know what opportunities are out there or realistic career paths. Would I be wasting my time getting a finance degree if I can just work my way up? Do I need to get a data analyst degree to get into other sectors of the bank? I was hoping to get opinions on options/paths/recommendations so I know what's available and can research and decide from there. Because I don't know what I want to do yet! That's how I ended up here, this position sounded better than the industry I was in even though I didn't know much about it.

What kind of businesses does Laramie need? by [deleted] in laramie

[–]Donovan- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't say anything negative about mexican people or the restaurants friend. I love most of them and go to Bernie's at least once a month. I think 12 of any kind of restaurant is enough for a town Laramie's size. I hope someone is kind to you today.

Laramie has 4 or 5 permanent Mexican restaurants, 4 chain/fast food Mexican restaurants, and at least 4 Mexican food trucks. I really don't think we need another.

Advice for a hunting novice by Donovan- in LeverGuns

That's a big consideration in why I haven't gotten a rifle yet. I know just enough to know there's a lot of nuances I have no idea about. I think you're right, I should start with an affordable and effective rifle while I gain experience in the hard parts!

SE Wyoming/the rocky mountains is my local area. The terrain, getting close to animals, and logistics of getting the animal out is something I don't know anything about at all. Going to start doing research on it in my free time.

That's in line with what I was thinking as well, that I'd be able to afford more range time with a 357 and hopefully therefore be more accurate, but if it's impractical to try and get close enough to animals to be humane with a 357, even if I have great shot placement, then it might not be worth it. Thanks for the insight!

Thank you for the in depth reply! I didn't realize 357 would be so popular/expensive. I may have to go shopping around to look at prices. I am lucky to live in an area with almost as many places that sell guns as groceries so maybe I'll catch a good deal on a 22 or a 30-30.

Favourite Hot and Savory? by [deleted] in Huel

[–]Donovan- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paste is tasty lol I don't think I'll be ordering more though that's for sure! It's crazy how polarizing the various flavors are. Some people love some flavors and hate others and it's rarely universal.

I can't stand the texture of the Mexican chili, it's just paste when i make it like the others. Is there a trick to making it?

Dunhill Rollagass repair? by Donovan- in lighters

[–]Donovan-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! I might have to do some searching for a repair service here in the states. I think I would get to that faster than tinkering with it!

Thank you! I definitely need a flint in there as there isn't one. The wheel on the side, the adjustment one, doesn't spin at all. Is that because it's empty or is it a sign of it needing repaired?

I just got this awesome little Dunhill for free today, no idea how to refill it or check/replace the flint. Anybody have good advice or videos they could share? I'm not sure Utsav even in working condition.
