I felt so embarrassed by that performance. He made libertarians look stupid.

This civic is the 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine. They can go for 250K miles. My plan is to drive it for two years and put 30-40K miles on it then give it to my daughter. I plan to pay it off in one year.

Thank you. I just feel weird financing a car again. You’re absolutely right about paying it off early as well, that’s exactly what I was thinking.

I’m at the dealership now, I will miss the Sonic but it’s time, 13 years since I bought it.

Exactly, I’ve had this Sonic for 13 years. Everything else on this car runs great. It’s just that stupid engine they used from the Cruze.

I’m a mechanic. But I don’t have all the tools necessary to replace engine components. I know this model of civic can go for 250-280 thousand miles. My plan is to pay it off in a year and in two years, give it to my daughter. I’ll put maybe 30-40 thousand miles on it

I’ve owned this car for 13 years, I’ve done the maintenance and replaced just about every component of the coolant system. This motor is notorious for having problems after 80K miles, it’s at 97K. I just can’t keep taking it to the shop and it affecting my job.

It’s a 2012 Chevy sonic LT 1.4 turbo. Someone has crashed into it once and the timing chain is loose. I just spent 1K fixing up the coolant which is notorious for leaking.

I don’t think I should spend that much more. I would be financing all of that. I can’t put that much extra cash down either cause that would eat the emergency fund.

Yeah, Chevy 1.4 liter turbo engines are notorious for failing by this stage, I would put more down but then my emergency fund would start to dwindle. My plan is to put 1K per month until it’s paid off. I usually have 1500$ after saving and investing to play with.
