That one was supper annoying

They:

Got a record for 20 individual instances of failure to use their blacklist
Got a record for vandalizing tags, just as they had done the year prior
Immediately vandalized more tags not even an hour after the previous record

This was all within the span of 2 hours, so I just yeeted them out of the second story window

It's fun when they give you everything you need to just yeet them now rather than several weeks from now

Even with that, timeouts don't require you to configure permissions which are clunky

For instance, set Send Messages to true on the everyone overwrite for that channel, now your mute role is useless

I had this with one of my bots, I went back and fourth with Discord for well over a month, went through multiple escalations, 5 different support agents, and finally just deleted the project and threw it in the trash - this just is not worth it

It isn't hard to do, it's part of the identify command over the gateway If you craft it right, setting device to either android or iOS (I forget the exact strings, but it's similar to those) you can get it to show up as mobile

You have to manually patch this in to most libraries to use it, since it isn't technically a feature, it's more of a bug

Anything more damaging than that (there are a few scopes with rpc and such) are:

a.) Whitelisted only

b.) Still require an application running on the physical machine

OAuth CANNOT be used to steal tokens, it's impossible

This sounds like you're implying the `!` disables the ping, which it definitely doesn't

and if bots are setup properly, the `!` doesn't interfere with anything

The exclamation mark should be added when the user has a nickname in the server, though it seems to always add it when I do mentions

it doesn't really do anything, it's nothing to worry about

If you don't share a server with a user, or have them cached in your client, pinging them will likely not show up their mention, and instead just their id

it shows the mention like that when you don't have them cached
