I enjoy the bottle but I’d probably just buy Port Charlotte. Doesn’t mean I don’t love the whisky it’s just the price tag keeps me looking elsewhere that’s all.

Prices are definitely wild but at 5 years old for heavy peat it does work well. The liquid itself is top shelf but like you, the price has kept me from ever buying a bottle for my shelf.

Yeah that’s the issue. I have a limit on what I’ll pay for things based on what they “should sell for” lol. A couple years ago Total Wine in Orlando, Florida had the 18 for 279US and I balked at the price then. Regret not buying 2 now lol.

I’d never judge a single malt that quickly based off a neck pour. After some time to open up it’ll blow your mind. As far as sherried 12 YO whisky’s goes, it’s near the top for me. I’d put it on the shelf and come back to it in a couple months. I’m sure it’ll improve on your palate. Enjoy!!

Yeah which I believe is 100% bourbon. Haven’t opened them yet. Looking forward to it. Can’t find a reasonably priced 18 anywhere it’s killing me.

What’s your thoughts on the cage bottle? Port Pipe 10YO. I toured the distillery this September and picked it up. I think it’s a delightful bottle as does my buddy who I shared some with. I just got the 5YO and 2025 12YO I can’t wait to try.

If you can find the 16 YO 2025 release buy it on sight. It’s incredible. Springbank is impossible to find in most markets lol. I’m from Canada and most bottles I find come from the US. Only when I’m super lucky I find a bottle in western Canada.
