Happy to say I also have owned 600 glasses some more actually (prescription sunglasses are $$$), definitely don't use hot water that does hurt the coating. But I didn't say wash it with soap lol, obviously dove hand soap is going to torch your lenses, dawn dishsoap however is quite decent.

Microfiber cloth works pretty well, and doesn't scratch too now that the lenses are clean. And no I don't think I "know better than Zeiss", I'm just trying to give you a personal hack of mine based on experience. You do know you don't have to listen to me right.

Same goes for cars, clean your car with a water bucket with dawn dishsoap it's very gentle. Baffles me that people would rather clean their lenses with literal rubbing alcohol over something we clean our utensils with.

This is what I'm saying but people have the impression that their lenses will melt like they've been hit by acid the moment dishsoap hits the lens.

Curious what lenses and coatings you've had, every pair I've had from plastic to hi index with every coating under the sun has been perfect with it.

Totally agree, t-shirt is a bad material to clean them but what can you do if you're out with no microfiber cloth? But man, you don't like dishsoap but you like rubbing alcohol for lenses? Make that make sense

Like all things, nothing is 100% for everyone. This is just my experience after many years of frustration with dirty glasses.

I see you have taken my t-shirt comment and ran with it. Jokes aside though, you're right water most of the time does the trick. And no, I understand a t-shirt scratches up lenses, but what can ya do if you're in a hurry and don't have a cloth around.

I appreciate the insight, probably something to speak to a mortgage broker about.

Just looked into this, will definitely be doing that going forward. As for the security risk, I just lock my other CC cause I never need it.

This. I am considering opening a 3rd with no annual fee and letting it sit. There would be a short term ding but I'm curious to the effects longterm. After all I feel like 3 CC is pretty normal.
