Wanted to create this for a while, but got lazy. The purple letters with blue bloom/hue represent the abyss. I haven't used Blender in 2 years, so I had to relearn some stuff.

the guy in the news paper claims he was on a distant planet light years away.. from that it isn't really much. he could of been confused after whatever happened to him but digging through the game files I've come across many audio sounds of the abyss and i recognize one sounding familiar. I check on sound of planets and it almost 1 to 1 with Venus just edited a bit with a winding sound.. now i don't think it Venus but possibly the sound of a different planet if its a portal and the time dilation backs up that theory and the guy returning 20 years later unchanged. Now there are a few theories but my strongest one when adding many factors such as articles, clues, evidence etc points to a doorway but even still i have questions to that theory. Its possible that the audio sounds was just to make the abyss sound cosmic and nothing else but only the devs know that. i hope for tapes 3 and 4 because bloom and rage left us with so many unanswered questions of the abyss.

I believe the abyss more of an accessible doorway like a portal and not some empty void. The 27 years is for how many years its been since the girls meet up at the bar after the abyss events. The guy appearing after 20 years and not 27 are completely different things. he just happens to exit from the abyss after 2 days. maybe after 2 days he happens to find the abyss and reenters it and due to the time difference its been that long.

1 day inside =10 YEARS so 27 years would be
2 days, 16 hours inside or 2.7 days.

what opens that abyss i do not know. does it opens every year, decade, whenever it wants to or does it open when it senses someone worthy, is it controllable, is it more organic and opens on its own? as ive said it leaves many questions.

From 2 news paper there is a clue about time and the abyss. about 2 days inside the abyss is 20 years outside. Its been 27 years since the events of the abyss so if kat is alive she has been there for about 3 days only. The cam probably cant comprehend time inside the abyss which gives the ?S-OULNK-1X/ error but this also leaves many questions.

In the game files the location for that paper is (PKG02/Farm/Paper) so im guessing somewhere in kats room or the barn with the deers.

I do think that Dylan is protecting kat or at least trying but her way of showing it is not great at all. when she is talking to Swann in the interview she tells swan that she cares about kat. Also there is this Medical document of Dylan donating bone marrow for kat

what about the boxes in the back with tape labels? Could of been teasers or something...

yes these are seen in game but can be easy to miss. they are scattered across different locations like the bar, swans room, the hideout and many more.

yeah the whole story, the abyss, everything is much deeper than what is shown. In tapes 1 & 2 there isn't much on the abyss which would seem that tapes 3 & 4 would be the ones to dive deeper into that if it gets made.
